'B' Carved into McCain Supporters Face by Attacker - 10/23/2008 8:59:46 PM

According to WTAE's news exchange partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Ashley Todd, of College Station, Texas, was using an ATM at Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached her and put a knife to her throat.
Police spokeswoman Diane Richard said the robber took $60 from Todd, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said. http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/17789356/detail.html

In my neighborhood (also Pittsburgh) it would be like saying "Please, come break my car windows and vandalize my home! I'm begging you!". And it's exactly why I don't have Obama stickers on my car or signs in my lawn. This is not limited to just crazies on one side. They are everywhere in both parties.

Frankly, this has all the earmarks of a phony crime ala Tawanna Brawley. Maybe I'm wrong.

This is a very sad situation. She not only brought some negative attention to McCain, but greatly offended the African-American culture. I just can't imagine what was going through her head. I just hope she gets the help she so desperately needs.

on the news they're saying "how come the B is backwards?"
and i thought. well when you carve your own face in the mirror, it will come out backwards.
its bad enough the christians on here believed such a story right away as a fact.

I'm not a fan of Ms. Malkin but she did call it and it was against her own party so to speak. I wish more journalists would follow the story wherever it leads, regardless of their own ideology.

Sad that someone feels they have to lie to get some attention, well she is getting some now.
The problem I had from the get go on this one was that the "B" was scratched in way too neatly to have been done during a mugging attack.

I saw the picture for the first time last night and it didn't look right. That is what caught my eye.
