I was wondering what you guys thought about it. I saw it for a long time in stores, and thought it was a big hoax so I never bothered to pick it up. But one of my friends at church was talking about it, so I desided to borrow it from them. I did read it, and it seemed to have helped alot of people, but I'm still not real sure if I believe it. What do you think?

Oprah seems to "have helped a lot of people" and I give her as little credit for spiritual truth as I do that book - zero or less.

I'm not quite sure how one reconciles it with "no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived" that which He has prepared for us.

Nevertheless Paul and John had some revelations. I would not say it's impossible that God could reveal more to someone today, but it should certainly NOT be treated as scripture (not that anyone here would do so).

There is so much more in this book that the author's experience in Heaven. I would estimate that 3/4th's of the book deals with the trials he faced through his recovery and how God has changed him and used him since his accident.

Yeah, but how many copies do you think he'd sell if he called the book something else? Probably one to each family member and a couple to his friends. But tell someone you got a guided tour of heaven and Whammo! Best Seller!!

If anyone has not read this book, I encourage you to do it. It changed my life in many ways. I lost both my mother and brother to cancer last year, a month a part. I have missed them so much. This book though has helped me look at their death so differently now.
The man that this happened to was a pastor. He kept it secret for over 2 years before he told his story.

It has changed so many people and really made them think about their own salvation.

Whether anyone feels it is true or not, is not our call. I believe if this man has lead even one to CHrist because of his story......its wonderful!

God Bless!

And even if someone makes a false profession of faith in order to go to such a place? Last time I checked, the beauty of heaven is not even a part of the Gospel.
