Hey everyone,

Has anyone ever bet on a sporting event for "fun"? ....I'm wondering if it is ok to make a very very low wager/bet with a friend or colleagues on a sporting event...I've done this several times and it has usually been for big games/series, but have done it completely for competitive fun and not to make money or hurt my friends financially. Would this be wrong?

My bet range has been between $20 to $100. But in each case it was a very rare bet..I think I've bet about a total of three times this whole year and it's never been about the money and has never been for a big amount. ....Still, I wonder if this is ok?

Also, these are close friends I made bets with and we love to laugh and joke each other about losing afterwards and it is kind of a child-ish sort of entertainment. ...But for some reason, we do have fun with it. It gets us talking about sports and sharing ideas, views, theories, etc. without being competitive in a mean way.
