I was on smootches blog tonight, catching up and I came across this...I thought I would repost the video here (over 20 min. long) so that more can learn of sweet baby Audrey and how much God loves her and how He is using her in others lives.

I have been following their blog for a few months now. Even though her life was short, she was a testimony to the goodness of God. My heart aches for the family.

Wow!! What an awesome video!!! I too lost a baby at child birth and saw first hand how it impacted and changed the life of people who were a part of it. I'm so glad that they were able to make this video so it could touch the lives of so many people. What an awesome example of God's love. Also could you tell me how I can get onto the blog. Thanks In Christ, Mary

These are really hard truths that every time I am pregnant I think about. I think every pregnant woman thinks about. Sometimes I wonder if it is good to deal with this stuff before it happens or to avoid it all together.

When I was pregnant with Nadia there was a woman who lost her baby right around my due date. It really shook me up.

Since there are so many other women on this board who are pregnant, could we preface this post with something like 'mentions infant loss'? Those really help me when I am about to read something that I have no idea what it's about. Maybe I'm being too sensitive. But when a woman is pregnant sometimes hormones take emotions to a whole new level. Just a thought.

That's a good suggestion, Kathryn.

There is a couple in my church that recently lost their baby when her water broke at 23 weeks and a few days. The memorial service will be tomorrow morning. I know something like this would probably be TOO overbearing at this point in time. In the future, it may help them though. Mother's Day was extremely hard as our church recognizes all mothers & gave those that had lost a child a white rose in remembrance of the child.

Can you post the link to smootches blog? I've been wondering about her and would like to catch up.

That is a good idea.

I agree, with me, this is a sensitive issue for me since my mom and my aunt both lost children at birth, its a real fear of mine that I am trying to avoid dwelling on too much.

Erin, do you know WHY they lost the babies? My MIL lost a baby at birth, and my older brother passed away when he was only months old and knowing the reasons why was very reassuring to me.

Now that I've watched the video...what a testimony. This happened just over a month ago. I will pray for the family.

Infant loss hits me hard as well. My mom had toxemia with her third pregnancy and my sister only lived three days. My SIL had a full-term stillborn baby 10 years ago, with no cause ever identified. I have three Heaven babies, all first trimester losses. God gives and He takes away. He is God even in pain, but oh, the pain... Someday, we will see the bigger picture.

My aunts babies were twins and I think were premature (this was in the days before good NICUs). My mom refuses to talk about things and when I asked her one day she said "there were problems" and wouldn't talk any further about it. Yes, knowing the reasons would be VERY reassuring. Its been a fear I've had since getting pregnant, I dont know what could be worse than being all prepared for a baby then coming home without him/her.

What an amazing testimony they have. I especially loved how she talked about trusting God in relation to the relationship she had with her earthly father. That is SO true for almost everyone.

I know after I lost Anthony(because of down syndrome) it made ALL life that more precious. Their testimony of hoping, and praying for a miracle so mirrors that of my father's testimony of when Joshua(my brother) passed away although the circumstances were different.

Erin, have you ever asked you father about the stillbirth?

I can't view the video because our internet filter's blocking the site, but I started reading her blog yesterday. I was so touched when she got the news and told the doctor "Jesus is the same Jesus now that he was before I walked in here." That just spoke to me. What a haunting and beautiful reminder that no matter what we go through, He's always the same.

The other thing that struck home with me was the whole "God doesn't have "plan b's"". It is so true and yet it tends to be overlooked.

No, he talks less than mom does. I may just break down and ask them again, because since I am expecting its kind of a need to know thing, so I'll know whether its genetic or not. But my moms solution on things that are difficult is to just not deal with them and pretend they never happened. I was 5 when it happened, but I do remember that she was probably pretty much full term since we had everything ready, the baby just didn't come home. Dad told showed me her footprints and said "she was just too small" but thats probably the easiest way to explain it to a five year old other than going into details.

Their testimony really affected me as well...thus why I posted the link to the video of their amazing love for their daughter and the Lord (and His love for them all). Not only did their love and faith in our Lord grow and deepen but they are an amazing testiment to how the Lord can carry you through anything. They chose not to abort their child and chose to carry her to term fully knowing that God can and does perform miracles. Who are we to decide, even when the 'best' medical evidence says otherwise, who should live and who should die?

I really loved the dad's reaction to seeing his 4th daughter for the first time. What a precious moment that was...as was her entire 2.5 hours of life.

God is so good.

I have this parenting site I go to that also has a pregnancy area. One woman on there had a problem with her placenta where it kept bleeding sometimes really bad. She had been so strong then one day she started a thread that said her baby died. She actually delivered at home but the baby was way to early to survive so he was born sleeping. It felt like a close friend or family member. It is so sad when we loose our babies. I myself lost my baby at 12 weeks. I always think of that sweet baby and what might have been.

For those that have been following this family, please be in prayer for them. Todd's sister just lost her 10 week old son to what they think is SIDS. I wonder why God would allow so much heartache in one family, but I know there is a deeper purpose for all of it.
