Have you ever felt your soul sing?
I have, and it was amazing. I saw Delirious at Kingdom Bound this past August, and they sang a song off their new album called "My Soul Sings". That song made me a fan of delirious. Any hoot, as they played that song, and I fell in love with the lyrics, the song, and the Spirit moved me.
The day I left Buffalo, I popped in the cd I just bought. I listened through the first 11 songs, and came to "my soul sings". I was driving home over 330 miles, in the rain, which was pretty hard at times. But I sang along as I drove on. I became overwhelmed with emotions, brought to tears, and unable to utter the words. But that is when something amazing happened. Even though I could not sing, my soul could. And sing it did. I replayed that song 5 times, it was so amazing. I never had an experience like that before. But it reminded me of Paul's writing in Romans 8
"26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."
and I wondered if that is what happened. Even though Paul was talking about prayer, I wonder could this also be extended to praise and worship. If like me, we are so overcome with emotion, will the Spirit pick up where we left off. I guess I already know the answer, but I wonder if any of you have had similar experiences.
I appreciate any response, and I thank the Lord for a soul that sings.

Yes, MY soul sings too. And that IS prayer. That is the Spirit testifying.
I've done the same. I don't know the song you are referring to but I've had similar experiences with songs---one a John Michael Talbot song based on Psalm 62 and the other Speak, O Lord by Keith Getty. . . oh, and some of Hillsongs songs and. . .
Yes, my soul sings. It should. Glad to hear yours does too. Bless you.

I felt that way when I was at the ocean listening "singing" to a song called "Falling" by "Pocketful of Rocks" about falling in Love with Jesus. I was worshiping while on vacation early on a Sunday morning. HOW AWESOME. moved to tears by the Spirit.

So i waited as long as i can and then i had to ask God, to my regret, to stop because i know i would have died from it! It sounds crazy but i read a testimony by a great pastor who had the same experience!
Anyway, i will never forget that.
If you want to edit my mail in your tread, no problems with me. I just don't know if it fits there and if you want it there . So be the judge. I just wanted to share with you my experience. I really like what you write ...
