Remember exactly twelve months ago? The being that you were?

Thinking back, I have realized that there has been so many drastic changes in every aspect of my life; physically, mentally spiritually, etc. Even my grammatical usage has changed to a great degree. I am no longer the being that existed twelve months ago.

In just twelve months, I have managed to transform in positive and negative ways. Sometimes I find it hard to balance out the two concepts. After thinking back about the person I used to be, I begin to miss him.

I recall a time where no matter the instances in life, I always looked on toward the goal marked before me. To continue running the race despite the objects that were placed for stumbling and mishaps. Now I find myself constantly being entrapped by snares and nooses, and lacking the motivation to get up and continue until I reach the goal line.

Change is inevitable. It happens. Nothing can prevent change. Nothing can prevent Spring from transferring into Summer, from a cool breeze to a scorching sun. Once more, it's inevitable.

I have found that what is inevitable can be altered according to your outlook, decisions, and choices you make for yourself and life as a whole. Though change comes in unavoidable form, it's process can be adapted depending on how you choose it to affect you.

I can say for myself that I have missed the opportunity of choice. I prolonged the thought and let it slip by me when change was happening before my eyes. Since of this, I have adapted in unbalanced manners that would be considered both "good" and "bad". In past months, when the inevitable was happening, I didn't make choices that would alter the change, but rather, prolonged the thought in my own emotions and missed the opportunity to change the reality of things. Both inside and outside of my being.

Words that I speak are words that I would've never spoken before. Things I regret are the things in which I speak, because it is out of stupidity and not out of righteousness. It is out of human emotions and not out of Godly principles. My actions and words are not out of the image reflecting the grace of Christ, but rather reflecting human flesh and my lack of concern with it being so.

I have let myself fall so far down the scope that divides morality from immorality. I missed the choice to alter that reality and change has continued progressing despite my lack of concern for doing anything about it.

Transformation will not stop for you. It will not stop for your relationships, your finances, your employment status, or life itself. However, I learned that it's what we do with transformation that forms the being that we become. It has the possibility of impacting our lives in a positive or negative manner.

Our regrets are often those that were unwise decisions. Change prevents interruptions to past mistakes, but the future holds the opportunity to replace those regrets with reformation of self and life. We cannot live in past regrets because change, once more, will not stop for you. It is how we handle every decision, from the point of getting up in the morning and deciding if you're going to comb your hair or brush your teeth first, to going to bed each night either sleeping with your past or knelt down on your knees giving up all regrets for yet another opportunity.

I can't undo words I've said in the past months. I can't rewind life to where I'm able to keep my lips sealed through those times when I said I'd rather be dead than alive. What I can do from this point on is make sure those regrettable words never reappear on my tongue. That is altering the very existence of change into a way that will not affect your life in ways that it has mine.

You make a decision with everything. How you blink. How you yawn. How you smile, and how you frown. You must make the decision that will alter change from being something that turns into past regrets and mistakes. We do not hold the power of preventing transformation, but we hold the power over our tongue and over our heart. Most importantly, Jesus Christ holds the power over your soul. Don't let change affect you in ways it will disappoint Him.

All He asks of us is to live, move, and exist in Him. And in doing so, death shall have no dominion over us.

In return, we must speak, hear, and proclaim to Him. And in doing so, everlasting life shall be granted.

I really like that line. I wish I had thought of it a few weeks ago.

Amen, baby.

And it's not good on the reproductive system. Being that you want twelve thousand kids, it's important that you know that.
