I'm looking for the point of view from a few Calvanists on some scriputure that kind of has me stumped a bit. Matthew 11:20-24 (New International Version) 20Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 21"Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. 23And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths.[d] If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. 24But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you." What this scripture is saying to me is that whether we get saved or not is largely dependent on where and when you were born. This is much different then the view many Christians share... that being...that God sees multiple paths of a person's life, and if there was even ONE path that would bring someone to God, then God would surely have that person be born there and then, and in that situation. Some insight would be apprieciated.

What is says to me is that the residents of Korazin who persisted in their unbelief will bear greater condemnation for the simple fact that they had greater light. quote:
