I had lots and lots of fish growing up. I don't remember their names. In college I had hamsters ... again, lots. (I had two girls and a boy who had babies.) I didn't name them. I did have 2 dwarf hamsters I named Alice (albino) and Grace (who was grey). I had a cat whose name was Col. Tibbets, had to get rid of him. And another cat named Zoe, had to find a new home for her too. Col Tibbets was a MEAN cat. I think he was abused as a kitten and didn't know how else to act. Zoe was a sweet angel, but new landlord doesn't allow cats. In my house is also a Snow Corn Snake named Bruce and a Betta fish names Alfa. No more pets for me for awhile. I'm done.

I always wanted pets when I was younger, but was never allowed them. Now I have a 6 year old spoodle named Bailey. He's absolutely delightful!

Lucky, the Dalmatian. Died on the day I went to Worlds of Fun. Sweet irony, that. Bandit, the crazy stray dog. Flash, the third best dog I've ever owned. Chi Chi, the BEST dog I've ever owned. And she's still kickin', God bless that old thing. Pebbles, the craziest dog I've ever owned. She's grade A lunatic. I've had one too many cats, the best ones were: MilkyWay. Storm. Myron. By far the most jumpy cat ever. Which he was named after a Jerry Lewis character, so it worked out. I had two fish once. Then after fifteen minutes, I have no fish. We also sorta adopted this white squirrel. Not really, it's just cool to say, "We sorta adopted a white squirrel."

Goodness! Couldn't remember all the pets I've had over the years if I tried! I remember a dog named Brownie when I was 3 or 4. My grandpa hit it with his truck. Felt bad about it so he went out and got me a puppy. Don't remember much about that dog except that he was a mutt and white and was more my grandpa's dog then mine. Had a cat named Goldie growing up - she was a stray that wandered on to the homeplace and never left. She had a couple litters of kittens after meeting up with the neighbors tom cat, and she remained on my parents farm for YEARS! They found her dead one morning laying on the front stoop. She had to be at least 20 human years old! Had a white dog once - can't remember his/her name. Had another mutt named Jessie - was a golden lab/shepherd/???? mix - BEAUTIFUL animal! She was our family dog from the time I was 12 or 13 til just about 10 years ago when my had to put her down. Some stupid hunter "mistook" her for a deer one year and shot her in the jaw. She survived that and many other hardships and injuries. She was a great playmate for my younger siblings and a great watch dog for the farm! She just got old and had some very serious health issues that even the vet said were beyond his control. That's just a few of the animals I had growing up. I don't ever remember being without a dog as a child and into my teens. We ALWAYS had one or two. Cats were plentyful on the farm as were any number of other pets including rabbits, birds, calves etc. Then I got married and got a cat. Her name was Twinkie. A fat ball of fur that loved to play basketball with little balled up wads of paper and a trash basket. We ended up giving her away when we moved into an apartment that didn't allow pets. Then we didn't have a pet for many many years. We moved into our current home 5 years ago and the following summer my parents brought us our current dog, a pug named Shadow. She's definitely MY dog, and my shadow. My parents breed pugs and Shadow is retired breed stock. They put $1500 into saving her life after she lost a litter of pups and started hemoraging herself! But is was the best $1500 my dad ever spent on an animal! This little animal saved my youngest dd from a pitbull attack a year later! Long story - but the short version is that Shadow is my youngest dd's protector and best friend and MY hero! We also now have a cat - Meepo is 2 or 3 now. King kitty as he thinks he's royalty. We also have two gerbils - Annie and Judy - they are my eldest dd's animals, and 2 fish whom belong to my youngest dd. Blessings, Garsy
