First, the non-spoiler review: If you are a normal conservative Christian, you should plunk down the $$ to see this movie because it is hilarious. If you are a Democrat, a liberal, or otherwise politically handicapped, you will want to avoid this one because it makes fun of you. A lot.

The movie is a play on the traditional 'Christmas Carol', but with the 4th of July as the holiday in question rather than Christmas. The main character, Michael Malone, is a spoof of anti-American Michael Moore, and is visited by several "spirits" of America past on the eve of a large anti-4th of July rally that the lead character is promoting and speaking at. There are several instances of foul language, and the main character, thinking he can get away with it because he is invisible, tries to grab the breasts of several women, only to get slapped hard each time before he succeeds. Not a movie for young children, but definitely worth taking your teenager to.

SPOILER review: This movie is stinking hilarious. It exposes every common liberal lie and error brilliantly, and is relentless in making fun of the moronic left. From moovealong.org to liberal ex-hippy college professors, this movie really lambastes the left and their stupidity. One of the funniest scenes in the movie has the lead character involved in a gunfight against ACLU zombie-lawyers who are invading a county courthouse and trying to tear down the Ten Commandments memorial. I started cheering when Dennis Hopper's judge character started blasting zombies with his shotgun.

If you see the movie, pay attention to the signs and background graffiti for extra laughs. In one anti-war protest rally there is a sign that says: "End disease! Abolish Medicine!". Classic!

The two funniest lines of the movie for me:

Trace Adkins, as the Angel of Death: "I'm the freakin' Angel of Death, you turd head!"

The Leader terrorist, speaking to Ahmed in a New York subway as two terrorists get past security with bombs in their backpacks because ACLU zombies showed up moaning about 4th amendment rights:

Leader: "Now you will see the true meaning of Jihad!!!!"
Ahmed: "You mean they are going to fly a subway tunnel into a building?"

There is a ton of slapstick throughout, also. Seeing "Michael Moore" getting slapped or trampled every other scene never got old.

There are many touching moments in the film as well. I cried and almost wept at three scenes in particular:

In one scene, American soldiers in Afghanistan are huddled in a circle praying out of the Psalms before charging out to meet an Islamic terrorist attack.

In another scene, Jon Voight as an outstanding George Washington gives Michael a tour of St. Paul's Cathedral in New York City on 9/11, explaining that the dust layering everything in the church is the dust of those who died in the Twin Towers and those who died trying to rescue them.

In the third scene, Michael is on stage at a Trace Adkins 4th of July concert and looks out into the crowd during the "America" song. In the crowd he sees a vision of soldiers from every era of American warfare: modern Marines, Vietnam vets, WWII infantry, WW1 trenchmen, Civil War soldiers, and Revolutionary War patriots, all standing with their chins lifted high.

The other scene that misted my eyes out of pride took place during the anti-4th-of-July rally towards the end of the movie. Michael tries to start telling the retarded liberal crowd the truth about war and Islamic terror, but they start attacking him and almost trample him to death. He gets pulled out of the crowd by some soldiers coming for the Trace Adkins concert, and when he asks them why they are saving him, one soldier keeps pushing the mob aside as he says, "Just doing our job".

If you area conservative, or at least a liberal with a sense of humor, go see this movie. You will leave a little prouder of the USA and you won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed it a good bit. Had some really funny scenes in it.

Some parts I liked--
The courtroom with the ACLU zombies. That was great!!
The scene with Washington in the church was powerful. Wish they'd had more of him.
The Jihad training video--hilarious!!
The various protestor's signs were funny in showing some of the nonsense thinking.
Not a big O'Reilly fan, but he and the Rosie character going at it was funny.
The Moovealong.org movie awards, where all present were engaging in the things they said they were against.

Some parts I didn't like--
The scene in the mortuary was rather more crass then I cared for.
Some of the language, especially what some of the younger characters said, was a bit much.
The bathroom scenes, where the bomb was being diffused, was rather crass, too.

Something I was hoping to see--
When I heard the '24' beeps with the clock, I was hoping they would have Jack Bauer take out the head terrorist.

I'm not reading your OP cause I don't want to spoil the film! I'm going to watch it this weekend and will post back!

I'll probably see this. I am a Democrat, but I equally enjoy seeing both conservatives and liberals made fun of as long as it is done cleverly. I'm also curious on how this film will be. So this will be on my list to see, but hopefully it stays out long enough for me to see it since I have a busy schedule.

It has some funny parts and some parts that so glaringly spoke the truth that I couldn't laugh. Not sure it's worth the $10 ticket, but I rarely think any movie is worth it.

What I did not like were the children who used foul language. Totally unacceptable. They could have done a whole lot that was funny without doing that.

I personally wasn't offended by the language itself, but it makes me wonder about the well-being of the child actors who said the lines.
