Singles, what Bible verse or verses helps get/help get you through the times you feel lonely or in other ways challenged? I'll be back with mine later, but I want to hear from others first.

8[Mordecai] also gave him a copy of the decree to destroy them, that was given out in Shushan, that he might show it to Esther, explain it to her, and charge her to go to the king, make supplication to him, and plead with him for the lives of her people.
9And Hathach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
10Then Esther spoke to Hathach and gave him a message for Mordecai, saying,
11All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that any person, be it man or woman, who shall go into the inner court to the king without being called shall be put to death; there is but one law for him, except [him] to whom the king shall hold out the golden scepter, that he may live. But I have not been called to come to the king for these thirty days.
12And they told Mordecai what Esther said.
13Then Mordecai told them to return this answer to Esther, Do not flatter yourself that you shall escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews.
14For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?
15Then Esther told them to give this answer to Mordecai,
16Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast for me; and neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. I also and my maids will fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.

This passage is something i hold onto........the whole idea that the Lord has placed me here for a reason!!!!! And in dark days, i remind myself that who knows why i have been placed where i am except to do such and such, or talk to this person, or touch that one, or even smile at that one.........little mundane things to me, and sometimes my response is, anybody could do that....if i died, life would keep on going on.......but then i reminded, yes, somebody could do such and such.......but i am trully unique in doing it the way i do it.........and then the glory goes back to the Lord.
Esther helps me remember!

There's been several for me. Of the top of my head though, I'd say Psalm 34:18; James 1:2; 2 Sam 22:7; Jer 29:11... There's more but I can't remember the exact references right now. I'd have to look them up.

Luke 12: 6-7

I was struggling quite hard this week to the point where I was questioning if God even loved me. It was a deep wrestling of my faith and I really poured my heart to God. All my angers and disappointments, and fears and longings. Then one night this week, while questioning God about His love, I was continuing my reading through the book of Luke. I've been struggling to read through this book for a while and hadn't continued my reading for some time. Well, I think Tuesday or Wed night, I picked up my bible and continued my reading where I left off before. I read through a couple of chapters until I came to this passage. It's like God answered my prayers about how important I am to Him and how much He loves me. The above verses showed how God clearly answered my questions. Isn't God amazing!

When I've felt out of touch or turned away from God because of myself and/or circumstances, I have prayed this verse many times. I want to be like this throughout the day:
Isaiah 26:8-10
"My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you."

I think the one verse that seems to come to my heart a lot when I'm going through times where it feels like I'm just so tired of struggling and I feel kind of alone is Psalm 42:11...But O my soul, don't be discouraged. Don't be upset. Expect God to act! For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason to praise Him for all that He will do. He is my help! He is my God! It reminds me that those rough times are only temporary. And God is always there with me even though sometimes He seems to allow me to go through those times longer than I want. But never the less....He is my help...and He is my God!

A lot of different verses but currently this one:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future ... you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29: 11, 13
Like LabGuy I like Psalm 139 as well.

Thanks for posting this. I needed to read these again. I'm with lab guy on struggling with moving these versus from head to heart.
