I do remember watching this show. It was okay, but too much focusing on Erik Estrada and his pearly whites.

I really enjoyed watching the show. The last season wasn't the best, but then there are many series that have the same problem.

It always amazed me how Erik Estrada could ride a motorcycle in those pants

I remember the show. I didn't really like it. I was a teenager with far too much to do outside the house.

I remember the show, but cannot remember all the plots. 2 things that I do remember is that almost every episode included a multi-car pile up, and there was 1 episode where Ponch was on-call, but they couldn't get a hold of him at all because his house was messy and the phone was off the hook.

The plots were at the beach, people going to the beach, people leaving the beach and people who wanted to get to the beach.

So it was almost like Baywatch for the early 1980's then?

Yeah- pretty close. Of course they did have to have their high-speed car chases in each episode.

I remember this show from when it was on and I loved it! Just like 29RedBalloons, I had a poster of Erik Estrada in my room! I just loved him! I had no idea at the time that a movie I had seen several years earlier and had been thrilled with when I watched it, also starred him. It was The Cross and the Switchblade. Some churches had gotten together and showed it on a big projector at our local elementary school when I was 12. My parents took our whole family to see it because it was a Christian movie. I didn't know until just recently, when I bought the DVD, that it was r-rated. I don't know what my parents thought when they actually saw the movie, about having let us see it. I only knew it had a huge affect on me. Later, when CHiPs was on, I was just as much in love with that show as I had been that movie, and Ponch was my favorite character. But I didn't even know it was the same guy.

Watched the show. I was a kid but thought Ponch was cuter. I thought it was a good show at the time but I'm guessing if I watched an episode today I'd probably think differently. Like I said I was just a kid at the time.

We used to love to watch that show Emergency too.

Humble, that episode is one of the very very first :), but Denim, so far, I have only seen 2 beach scenes... and only one episode about it...

Me, too. I was always scared that they might split! But, hey, it was recorded TV and if they did rip, we'd never see it!!!! God is Good!

I loved this show. I even wrote a fan letter to Larry Wilcox (Jon) and got an autographed photo of him. I was probably about 12 years old! I think my best friend wrote her fan letter to Willie Ames from Eight is Enough.

And yes, I liked Emergency! too. What a great idea to have a show about paramedics!

As much as I liked the show, I don't remember much about the episodes, either. But I do remember one where Ponch was hurt in a motorcycle accident.

The only episode that I remember fairly well was the one with Leif Garrett in it, but that was only because I had a major crush on him!

Forgot the category "watced it for the motorcycles" I think this is one of the few shows that the vehicle held some importance that wasn't disigned by George Barris (60's batmobile, munster coach, Starsky and Hutch, General Lee, Ghostbuster car, A-Team van just to name a few)
