I know it would've been totally hokey if he'd survived that . . . but I was still hoping.

I haven't yelled NO at the TV in a long time. How sad.

I don't usually cry when watching TV shows. I did tonight.

Yeah Sara doesn't look too good. My first thought was who is that woman, one of Grissom's exes? and it was her. The outfit didn't help either. LOL

I only watch CSI every once in a while. I saw the season ending when it showed the guy shoot him. I had to see the season premiere. I am not afraid to admit that I cried a little during the funeral at the end. I'm glad they brought the case to an end and he was caught, but I was hoping that they wouldn't find out right away who killed him and that it would be a side story for the next half of the season or so. It would have driven the CSI fans crazy knowing who killed him. Every time you would see the killer, you would want to yell at the TV.

I really liked Warrick. I guess Grissom will leave with Sara??? Next week's episode looks pretty interesting.

It's going be strange to watch the show without my favorite character in it. Warrick will be missed.

I don't know if I can handle it without Grissom and Warrick! They're my two faves. Seeing Nicky cry during the funeral was awesome. I was waiting for him to put his arm around Catherine.

I thought so too. I love Nick. It's going to be weird. I don't think the show skipped a beat when Sara left but Warrick and Grissom, that's different. The highlight of the relationship between the two of them was so intense last night.

So was the lady holding Warrick's baby his ex-wife? Was that the doctor he was married to for a short time? I couldn't tell.

I am curious to see where they go from here. Curious about Lawrence Fishburne. Not sure about that. I do think some of those "lab guys" can step up to the plate - especially that really pretty girl, and keep things interesting. The writers of this show have done a fabulous job developing those characters over the course of the show so hopefully they'll bring up those newer people but not change the formula that's been working. We'll see.

I was not upset with the show. I am glad they caught that [expletive deleted]. The funeral was truly sad. As much as I liked Warrick, with the actor's drug abuse I had to agree it was time for him to go.

The previews for the opener had the clip of the girl in the bikini jumping and it kinda looked like Sara. It now seems like that is from next week's episode. They showed Sara helping out with the investigation so I guess it was NOT her jumping. (unless it was another investigation) I agree that Fox did not look well.

Now if they just would REALLY kill off David Carruso on the Miami spinoff.......

Was the actor really using drugs or is that a rumor? I hated to see Warrick go. He was definitely one of the most interesting characters. I didn't think his killer would be caught so quickly, but so glad they didn't let him slide. The suspense would have really gotten to me. Grissom leaving? What did I miss? so glad for on demand.

He went to court and plead guilty. Got probation. Although there were allegations before the drug charges that he had wanted off the show when his contract expired

I was left with a blah feeling after watching this premiere. It was a big letdown. Gary Dourdan had a problem with drugs and hopefully he will be on the mend. We'll see how the show goes forth.

I was sorry to see him go, but I thought the show (the cast) did a wonderful job of showing how much they loved him, and will miss him. I thought it was a very moving episode.

I've been emotionally preparing myself for CSI with no Grissom. But I was completely unprepared to lose Warrick. That threw me for a loop more than anything. And definitely, if the guy playing the role has a drug problem, I hope he gets that straightened out.

I understand that if Gary had drug problems and all, he needed a break from the show. But why kill him off? Like many, he was my favorite character, and I too shed a few tears during the episode. I wish they could have done something a little different to give him a break instead of making in permanent, but like others mentioned, it would have been totally messed up if he survived that. I am glad they didn't draw out the suspense on catching the undersherriff and got him that day.

I too am interested in what happens with Grissom taking time off again, and Lawrence Fishburne joining the cast. Maybe they can have Horatio transfer from Miami to Vegas to replace Grissom - J/K!

the actor wanted off the show for a few years now. I am sure he had some say in how permanent he wanted that to be.
