Where's the cheapest place to get school supplies in the States? We're going down to the states this weekend...

I head to the US frequently (going again today) ... I find that Target is quite reasonable ... and Walmart isn't bad either (they are usually within a few cents of each other) I'd quite often say Staples as well, but their sales are from Sunday to Wednesday (they just finished their 5 cent sale)

I would pick up the local sunday paper....and review the ads for Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, etc..etc.... (all of which you can shop online, BTW)... then, of course, there is also Target or Wal-Mart....(shop/review their selection online, as well)

When you get them at the right time, Walgreens is actually the cheapest because they wait until after everybody else has had their sales. It is surprising, but yes, they are. Also, if you have a shopko, they are also VERY cheap.

WalMart and Target are where I go. Off the top of my head, WalMart has notebook paper, pens/pencils and crayons that are cheaper, but Target has cheaper folders and plastic craft boxes. Also, at the stores near me, Target has a much better selection.
