Anyone here get coupons from the internet? Which ones do you recommend and what are your experiences with various sites? How about sites that offer free samples?

My favorite source of online coupons is bricks. You have to install some sort of print drive to print these coupons. That print drive makes sure that you can only print each coupon twice, to prevent coupon fraud.

I trust bricks, some other coupon 'printers' are actually spyware on your computer. When you print the coupon, hit 'back' and you'll be able to print a second coupon. Each coupon will have a unique serial number on it. Any photocopies of those coupons would be illegal fraudulent copies. Most coupon print limits reset after a couple months. So if you print two copies of something you like, check back later and you might be able to print two more.

My second favorite source for coupons is checking the websites of the products I purchase. Sometimes they have good coupons too.

Last, but not least, you'll have to check the policy of the stores you shop at. Most stores are coming around and allowing internet coupons, but it really depends on the manager on duty. I've shopped at stores whose corporate policy allows internet coupons but not be able to use them because the manager said no. I don't find it worth my time to argue beyond that. I've never called a corporate headquarters or anything like that bout my coupon experience.

If I want to order something on line I check our retailmenot.com first.

Thanks ladies! I too wondered about whether or not stores take them and how they prevent you from over printing.

My confession is that I have never used coupons or even look at sales. As a single I just really didn't think about it and I should've. But now that I am heading towards marriage I need to do so. Marriage for me really is technically being independent believe or not. I've been with my parents my whole life so far with exception to one year.

BTW way PW I love what you have in your from The Promised Land! Very cool.

I should be better about coupons myself. Everytime I think of coupons I think of this commercial that was on years ago where a wife was clipping coupons and the husband complained. She sent him to the store (with coupons) to get some stuff. When he got back she asked if he used the coupons. He didn't. She asked for $10 or something and he gave it to her. She ripped it in half. He freaked out. Her point was that by him not using the coupons it was like wasting $10.

Anyway, the only website I can think of is www.couponmom.com.

In addition to the bricks coupons PW mentioned, I also use smartsource.com, and coupons.com for printables. I usually have to print smartsource from mozilla instead of IE though, for some reason there's something on IE now that blocks it for me. But do check with your stores first, some areas will not accept IP's at all due to fraud.

If there are coupons from the paper that you need extras of, check on ebay. Just do a search for '"XYZ product" coupons' and it will pull up any current auctions. I just loaded up on enough coupons to stockpile us Lipton tea bags for the rest of the year, and Hebrew Nat'l hot dogs for at least the summer, last night on ebay. These are two of the only things we're brand loyal on, so when coupons come out I get as many as I can reasonably store and use.

I've bought coupons for 8th Continent soy milk on ebay too. We go through 3-4 cartons a week, and it's expensive. I've never admitted to anyone before that I've bought coupons. I thought they'd think I'm a real crazy coupon lady. But looks like I'm not the only one!

I think I paid $2.80 total for $21 in coupons. They all got used before the expiration date. That's a good deal to me.

Hee, I proudly wear that title. I have all my coupons filed in a zippered 3 ring binder (in baseball card trading pages) and I always take my binder into the store with me. I get a LOT of comments on it in the store. I had an older gentlemen stop me every time we passed in the store last week to ask me a different question about it.

I have mine in a three ring binder too I feel naked without it going with me - I have seen many an item on managers special that I happen to have a great coupon for, but the coupon book is at home! So now it always goes with me.

I have never bought coupons on Ebay before (or, should I say "paid for the bother someone went through to clip the coupons" ) but I do keep my eye on them to see if there is anything worth while.

At the commissary they have Ortega taco seasoning for .44 cents a packet. I once had ten coupons (from a magazine I had ten copies of... ) for $1 off any two Ortega products ... so the total was .88 cents, giving me a 12 cent overage on each coupon - so $1.20 went to to cover other groceries!!
And I got 20 free packets of taco seasoning

Walmarts ALL YOU magazine has some great coupons. Well, I have heard it's hit or miss - the end of May one has amazing coupons That's the one I have ten copies of. My dear husband got excited and bought them all for me.
Worked out amazingly tho - each magazine had a coupon for a free Adidas deodorant, the Ortega $1 off two, a coupon for toothpaste that works well with CVS deals this week and then there was another super useful coupon too. The rest weren't ones I would use, but were still good ones.
One out of the ten magazines also had a survey in the front that offered $10 if I filled it out and mailed it back.
I figured out that for $24 (for the ten magazines) I got $150 worth of merchandise for free, $40 additional extra bucks that just keep rolling, and (when it arrives) a $10 cheque.

Good job Jessica! I haven't checked any of the All You mags in my stores for the survey yet, I keep forgetting. The only coupons I saw listed that I could really use for us were the free Adidas and the $1/1 Kotex. I might pick up a couple for those coupons if we have extra $$ this week.

I wish we had a CVS here.

I also forgot about printables at redplum.com. Oh and if you shop at Kroger or one of its affiliates, you can get coupons loaded directly to your card that you can use in conjuction with paper coupons (i.e. use both coupons on the same item). I got some great deals on P&G items last week. I'll look up the sites and post them here in a bit.

ETA -

OK here they are. You have to enter your plus card number to load the coupons to it.

P&G esaver

Shortcuts

Unilever

And here is a list of the deals I got last week using the P&G esaver coupons and manufacturer coupons combined (BOGO = Buy One, Get One Free). Keep in mind, prices may vary slightly.

Always pantiliners 34 ct 2x3.09 - less (2) .50/1 mfr less BOGO esaver = 1.09 for two
Always pads 16 ct - same price as the liners
Zest soap 8 pk 2x3.50 - less (2) .35/1 mfr less BOGO esaver = 2.10 for two
Crest w/ Scope 6.2 oz 2x1.94 - less (2) .50/1 mfr less BOGO esaver = .06 overage for two
Tampax 20 ct 2x2.99 - less (2) .50/1 mfr less BOGO esaver = .99 for two
Herbal Essences shampoo/conditioner 12 oz 2x3.25 - less (2) $1/1 less BOGO esaver = 1.25 for two
Cover Girl eyeshadow 2x2.00 - less (2) $1/1 less BOGO esaver = both FREE

Yes, it'll be on the racks by the registers. Retails for around $2.

Some subscription sites also have it for less, I used to have a subscription but let it run out.

I've gotten coupons of ebay before too. One time they had coupons for $2.25 of dish detergent that cost about $2.50 or $2.75 here. I got about 20 boxes for 25-50 cents each.
