By CHET BROKAW – 18 hours ago PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A federal appeals court ruled that South Dakota can begin enforcing a law requiring doctors to tell women seeking abortions that the procedure ends a human life. ................. The 2005 law would make doctors tell women "that the abortion will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being." Women also would have to be told they have a right to continue a pregnancy and that abortion may cause women psychological harm, including thoughts of suicide. Planned Parenthood has failed to show that the information to be given to women seeking abortions is untruthful, misleading or irrelevant to the woman's decision, the appeals court majority said. Taking into account definitions in the law, the information required to be given is biological in nature, so Planned Parenthood has not shown the information is ideological, the decision said. South Dakota voters in 2006 rejected a ballot measure to ban nearly all abortions. A measure on this year's ballot also would ban abortions but would allow exceptions in cases involving rape, incest and a threat to a woman's life and health. I think the latter one will pass as the former wouldn't. I didn't care for J. Kenneth Blackwell's no abortion at all rallying cry for '06 Ohio governor and I agree with Dubya's pro life stance.

It would be a miracle if the courts could just some how figure out one more thing. That for human beings to end the life of another innocent human being is known as murder...... We should have another law that requires policemen to tell abortion doctors and mothers they are under arrest for ending the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being. I dunno....makes sense to me. KJB

Makes sense to me too. LOL....thats two of us! It makes ya wonder who these people are that we have in our courts. Are they really as daft as they act? Its like our courts are full of fruit and nutcakes to be honest! Women have been prosecuted for taking drugs and drinking while pregnant. http://advocatesforpregnantwomen.org/main/publications/articles_and_reports/prosecutors_targeting_pregnant_drug_users_some_fear_women_will_shun_treatment.php Men have been prosecuted for damaging a fetus before it was born. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1933068/posts And yet, so called doctors (if they should even be given such a name) were pulling grown babies most of the way out of a womb, sticking a took into the back of its head, and sucking out its brains with a vaccum machine.....and it was deemed proper and ok. As Randy Stonehill would sing; "Its a great big stupid world" I nice thought would be if girls and boys were taught early on about sacrificial love. The kind of love that might put others first instead of last on the list. I guess I dont have all the answers in such a world as this. KJB
