I'm in an apartment. I have to go to a car wash. No hookup for a hose or anything.

Neither.

I let the rain do it.

Depends on when it needs it and where I am and how much money is in the bank account!

My truck won't fit in an automatic car wash. Has to be washed by hand...which pretty much means me.

We have a guy that stops by on mondays at my work and asks who wants a car wash. He has a truck that has all his supplies, including water. I LOVE him and the service he provides. He's been cleaning my bosses cars for years and has done an excellent job getting my dirty nasty truck all spiffy again.

I gladly pay every few weeks, maybe once a month to have him wash it where I can see and not have to worry about people going through it and the equipment breaking things off.

neither....hubby does it. He either does it at home in the driveway or he takes it to one of those places that you feed quarter into the machine and get to use the brush and hose and such. Back when he was deployed I would take it once a month to have it done and detailed and cleaned on the inside but since he has been back he does it now.

Take both vehicles down to a local hand car wash.. try to that at least once every two weeks.

I tend to let God wash my car. And He tends to think it doesn't need it very often.

We live in an apartment so we can't do it here. In the summer, we go to my in-laws house and do it in the driveway there. In the winter we go to the car wash.

I hardly ever wash my car. Maybe once a year, at home with a bucket of soapy water and a water hose for rinsing.

Last year we were in a drought and there were water restrictions in our county. If you didn't have your own well or spring you couldn't wash cars.

Our cars haven't been washed in about 2 years.

Seriously.

The rain (and snow) does a decent enough job of washing them. Plus, we get them oiled in the fall (rustproofing), so we don't want to wash off the oil.

I do wash the windows by hand at the gas station, though, and in the winter I sometimes clean the headlights and tail lights.

LOL...I can't wait to move out your way! The snow in the city is what makes our car dirty!

same here...I usually get mine done every other month - he does detailing inside and out.

It really is a great service.

Well then, do you wash it yourself or take it through the trike wash?

LOL!

Ya think I could make my next million off of that wonderful new concept . . . trike washes.

To answer you question, at the moment neither; I let the rain wash it. Which is not my preference at all.

I'm currently looking for some type of portable bike garage to put my trike in.

It also needs a serious rust-proofing done as I can see rust spots forming . . . and a good detailing job wouldn't hurt neither.

If I had a car, I'd probably wash it myself . . . I loved washing cars when I was younger . . . and car wash places kinda creep me out.

I used to wash my Jetta by hand, but my new car is bigger (and taller!) not to mention my back is all wonky so I run it through the car wash when I have the spare change for it. :D

I am not sure how much these cost but they make bike lockers .. we have one at our work..

some cities are installing them so you can rent them for a period of time.

Oh Miss Giggles; THANK YOU!

I've bookmarked the site and will look at it in-depth later tonight. I did quickly peruse a couple of links; and I think this is what I have been needing.

I'm wanting one to specifically put in my driveway.

We live in a townhouse and aren't sure if we are allowed to wash our car in our driveway or not so we take it to a do it yourself car wash. At the end of this month we are moving to a house with a garage so we will start washing it at our place. When we move again at the end of the year we will be living in a townhouse with a garage. The complex doesn't allow anyone to use soaps while they wash their cars, but we will still wash it with water at our place. If it is really dirty we will bring it to a do it yourself car wash.
