I have read so many things on these forums that have truly touched my heart and positively resonated in my spirit. At times there are those things said by others that aren't what one would consider edifying, humorous, or loving but this wouldn't be the place for those kind of quotes. Have you read something written here on the forums lately that glorified our Lord in a unique way, made you laugh (not at them but with them ), touched your heart, or that you think might put a smile on anothers face?
Here is a thread for those kinds of "quote of the day".

Here' a starter..
quote:

BibleL7-
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of the earth will grow strangely dim. In the light of His glory and grace.

Coming across someone who truly understands salvation is refreshing.

Hey, I've deleted a few off topic posts.

I think some of you may have missed what the OP is looking for; the idea is to post a quote from another member and why it touched you. Thank you.

Sincerely
Kath

Beloved,
Accepted,
A new creation,
Adopted into God's family,
Child of the Most High God,
Redeemed,
Sanctified,
Justified,
Friend of God,
Saint,
Bondservant,
Higher than the angels,
Ambassador of Christ
...... the list just goes on - "Hallelujah"

Wow - we are sooooooooooooo privileged.

It's good to be reminded of who we are . Thank you for the reminder Little_1, and thank you Jesus for giving us the gracious gift and opportunity to be indentified as such.

Quote by: TMeeks.
As Robert Manning, the visiting pastor that spoke to our church this weekend, titled his message, "Your Failure is Not Final!" And, it isn't final because deep in your DNA, God designed you so that it would not HAVE to be final. Before the first human fell, the means and mechanisms for RENEWING our minds were already there. Because, the very structures that store all of our thoughts were designed to allow redemption and change. Our brains were designed to be RENEWED!

Now, THAT is an awsome God.
(End quote)

Thank God for every detail in all He created!
God is amazing!

Yes, thank you Lord .

Question. Does the quote need to be from the General Faith Forum or can it be from any of the forums?

Lord please help us to keep our eyes upon You
And to know that our difficult situations will pass;
May we run to You - our strong tower and refuge as soon as
we hear the oppresser whisper lies to us.
Help us to praise you even when our hearts are breaking
because You bless those who bring You a sacrifice of praise.
May we always remember that You promise never to leave
us or forsake us and even when we don't 'feel' your presence
may we walk with the eyes of faith upon You.
Thank You for these trials and difficulties and for everything You
want to teach us through them
May we come forth as gold and may You be glorified.
AMEN.

The struggles in life are ongoing, and sometimes, the straight and narrow path seems impossible to walk, and I can’t see where I’m going. I can be bitter and angry about it and blame it all on God for all the things that has happened. If I am to deny my faith I will be without Christ, and I will have no hope and will have been certainly and eternally dead. That’s why I hold on to Jesus Christ, my Lord and my God for dear life do everything I can while I’m on this earth to glorify His name.

"Thats why I hold on to Jesus Christ, my Lord and My God for dear life"

How is this not inspiring, to know what this person went through, to still have this much devotion to the Lord makes me to truly be grateful for all I have and all He has done for me.

Quoted From Colliefan:

Does one approach the bible for information or for transformation.

This absolutely struck me when I read it. It is true for both, however the information leads us to the transformation through Jesus Christ! Excellent statement, thank you!

The Lord speaks in many ways.
One of the ways I hear His voice is just by looking out any window.
It can even be the same window and what one may say is the same view each day... When I look out and see all the beauty that the Lord Created, (The ever changing beautiful sky, the brilliant bright hot sun, (that keeps us warm, and helps our food to grow, etc!) the georgeous trees and plants (that give us food and shade etc!) it makes me think of how Wonder-Ful He is!!! And how God does care for All of our daily needs!
And how personal He really is, and how much I love Him... (Etc.)
Just looking out I get blessed with little mini-sermonettes!
God is speaking. Be quiet and listen.

How can you tell God you experienced Love? Without loving someone?
How can you tell God you know? Without learning knowledge?
How can you tell God you hurt? If you never experience pain?
How can you tell God you have patience? If you never learned to have it? How can you tell God you experience joy? If you never felt sorrow? How can you tell God you have lived? When you never experience life?

Do not be deceived, our trials are a learning process that sends us through the fires to experience something greater and that is a *perfect life with God.
What would you rewards be, if you can't say you have done and trusted Him to deliver you from this life's woes.
It would show you did not carry your cross or followed Jesus."

I also learned that when you learn that you are as great a sinner as the worst inmate behind bars and reflect that in your ministry, witnessing to them becomes emmensely easier than witnessing to neighbors that do not think they are that great of a sinner.

Christians have bought into the idea that it doesn't matter exactly who God is, as long as we get the words "Jesus Christ" correct.
