All from North Carolina - Imagine that!! But they keep voting these people into office. Even Thomas Wright could run again - if he's not behind bars.

I think the general rule of thumb is that the ruling party (either in state, local, or federal government) tends to have more corruption issues than the minority party. This affects both Republicans and Democrats. Republicans have run into their own problems when it comes to oil interests in Alaska's state government.
My general rule of thumb is that if I vote (D) for governor, I usually try to vote (R) for Attorney General- or vice-versa.
