I've just joined this community because I am in a situation currently where I feel cut off from the local Christian community. I have recently moved to a new state, and due to extreme pressures and other factors I find it very difficult to meet people.

So, I hope you will accept me or at least tolerate me and be willing to engage me in some discussion. I have never been terribly dogmatic in my beliefs, but I am relatively conservative in my religious outlook. I was raised in a mainstream, politically right-of-center Protestant denomination which I am no longer a part of, having converted to Catholicism a few years ago.

I look forward to engaging in meaningful conversation here, and hope to learn from all of you and have a little fun along the way.

Jeremy

Greetings!

I'm a recent convert to the Catholic faith myself. I had been a candidate for almost 10 years but was afraid of my first confession. But I recently took the plunge and it's been AWESOME. :) So when did you cross the Tiber? :)
