Hey guys,
I had an idea the other day and I have been thinking about it since then. How about we nominate and elect different fans on the Southern Gospel folder to be like "news reporters" for the different groups.

Like for an example:
Tina and someone else that likes Legacy Five could be the two "news reporters" for Legacy Five. If yall like the idea, lets see if we can make it happen. I would like to cover the Kingsmen and maybe have David Stuart help cover the Kingsmen since I know he is a fan of the Kingsmen.

What Ya think?

Don't we already do that anyway for our favorite groups?

What we do now is mostly concert reviews and talk about projects being released. Every now and then we even copy portions of groups' e-newsletters. I think KingsmanQuartetFan has something more in mind. "Reporters" could get a little more involved in "human interest" articles, birthdates, etc. Anybody else have an opinion?

This thread got me to thinking about posters on here that we most closely associate with each group. What I'm trying to say is when you see a post from this person, you immediately think of a certain group. Or when you hear a certain group you think of this poster. Here's a list that I've thought of right off the top of my head:

Kingdom Heirs
AdamEdwards
myself
BRBB
clintabbott

Kingsmen
KingsmenQuartetFan
DJSfromCleveland

Gold City
MattPaasch
Brandon_and_Lisa
GoldCityQtGirl

Brian Free & Assurance
youngartist

Triumphant Quartet
Dinana

Greater Vision

GVfan

Legacy Five
L5FanLady
L5MAN
L5Ropeholder
Jeff_from_Kentucky

Perrys
danielmount

Booth Brothers

BBfan

Talley Trio

Heather84

Crossway
jabird41

Hoppers

Seaton

I'm sure I could probably think of some more, but those are the ones that immediately popped into my head. Everyone can feel free to add to the list and Josh can get an idea on who his "reporters" could be.

You could probably list me under Mark Trammell Trio, too...but when I have time to do interviews, etc. I typically post them on my blog. So if you'd rather not go to my blog to read them, we might need someone else to do interviews specifically for here.

(Sorry--just can't spread myself too thinly!)

How about throwing in some CD reviews. And not just reviews of new releases, maybe we could also back up and review some older projects of interest as well. That's just an idea.

I forgot about Daniel being a Mark Trammell Trio fan...how do you go about doing the interviews Daniel?

Yea...I have like 34 or 35 Kingsmen CDs and I know David has more...we could do that

In addition to working on L5, I could help out Donna with Greater Vision. Those are my two favorites anyway.

There isn't just one way. Often it's someone I've met and traded email addresses with at a concert, but sometimes it's someone who reads and comments on my blog.

Yes BB King is still around and he released a new cd this past August, so I guess you might say he's still going strong.

Me too!

And where would we post these "reviews"? On the group threads, or a special thread?

Ok, I'm admitting something......today is the first time I actually looked at this thread (sorry KingsmenQtFan!) and found I was being discussed, among others. Good idea, KQF!

It should be a lesson to all of us to peak inside every thread once and awhile. You never know when you're being talked about.
