I would like to know how many people follow TBN, New Agers, Moslems, Athiest, Buddha, Hindu, cults?

How many True Christians are there?

Does anyone know where I can see numbers.

I found one site , but they said they put people like wicca(witchcraft) in with Christians, and also all the followers from TBN, would be Christian.

I just wonder, it is becoming so prevalant.

How many people are being fooled?

Thanks in advance for any info.

One of the most important things a Christian should learn is that statistics about spiritual matters are meaningless. They are inaccurate at best and misleading at worst.

No one can see inside another's soul (except God).

Only God knows how many true Christians there are on this earth, and how many follow false religions and cults.

And we should be thankful that only He knows.

Aren't there also some from every denomination who go to church every week but are not "true Christians"?

I don't think we can have an accurate count of true Christians going by the number of members on a church roll.

I'm not sure I would say that everyone who watches TBN are not Christians. I think we are on shaky ground if we assume that (unless I misunderstood what you are saying). Like I said, every "acceptable" denomination have those who are not true Christians.

I also don't think you can use TBN's ratings or number of viewers as an accurate count of how many "follow" TBN. Because many only watch TBN for ammunition to use against those they don't agree with or see as false teachers. (Disclaimer...I'm not saying they are false teachers because I don't watch TBN anymore and don't even know who they show...just want to make that clear).

I agree that many are being fooled. But I don't think it's just the ones in the groups you mentioned.

I don't think there is any way to say how many are true Christians and how many are being fooled as we don't see people's hearts.
Even if a poll was done, many who aren't Christians would say they are.

Well I am just a plain Christian, not a TBN follower, or wiccan, or WOF. The simplest of form of the belief.

I agree, Ezra, but a day is coming when everyone will know:

Judgment Day...

and it will be the saddest day for those who hear:

...23 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' -Matthew 7

and the greatest day for those who hear:

'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' -Matthew 25

Ok, dumb question I worded that wrong. Your right, no one can really tell who is true.

Can I ask does anyone know where TBN puts their stats. I'll start there.

Hello, contrary to what most people think the bible does tell us we can know HOW to be saved (John 8:3132),and WHO is saved and WHO is in error (1John 4:1-6). We do this by using the mind of Christ (Phil.2:5) (Heb.8:10).

May I suggest you watch GBNtv.org?

Dont know about TBN statistics there are newspapers and magazines that conduct polls on such things and publish statistics. Included are stats on professing believers, other faiths memberships and the such dont know if they are even close as I dont think any poll that I dont know anybody to have answered can really be accurate. But then polls did say Dewey was elected president once. You may try doing a Google search many of those publications have web sites of articles.

Dearest tracy! Please notice that disobedience is as the sin of withcraft, and the word in the greek is 'pharmakeia' regarding the spiritual poisoning that occurs when one gains a foothold from the enemy by disobeying the Sound Teaching of Our Lord and Savior. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. They are the 'pharmakeia': the spiritual poisoning, that is why people die in the world; because of satan.
Also, those who practice these arts are bearing fruit to Babylon the Great.
