Hi, I have volunteered and went to the training classes to be a decision followup worker at the Harvest Crusade with Greg Laurie this weekend in Philadelphia. I was excited about doing this when I made the decision. I made this decision despite a major trial in my life. My marriage is not doing so well. My wife and I have been separated since May. I have been praying for reconciliation and trying to show her love anyway I can, but it's as if she is just not interested, so even with that going on, I wanted to be a part of this amazing event that will bring so many other people to the LORD. Well, ever since I decided to be a part of the Crusade, I have come under so many spiritual attacks. And just this week, leading up to the weekend of the Crusade, something has broken in me and I just feel hopeless. I can not concentrate on anything at work or home. I just can't function. My counselor believes I may be suffering with clinical depression. He recommended I call and get an appointment with my physician and possibly get some meds for it. I have an appoint for this Thursday night. Right now, I just don't know how I can possibly serve at this event feeling the way I do. I am on an emotional rollercoaster. Please pray that God will make His will clear to me. Thanks

It's just like the enemy to put so much strife and trouble in your way when you are about to do something great for the Kingdom of God. Yes, I'll stand with you in prayer about these current issues, as well as your marriage. And remember what James 4:7 encourages us to do: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (NIV) The key is to submit to God. The battle is not yours to fight alone (1 Sam 17:47; 2 Chron 32:8; Ps 18:39 Keep us posted. Lynn

It sounds like an awesome experience to be a part of, and a great way to take your mind off your own sorrows and share Christ with others. As I read your post, though, I'm wondering if the Lord isn't just really trying to get your attention. I'm talking about loving others as you love yourself. It sounds like you'd go to this conference, help others know what to expect following this joyous decision they've made, then do that again, and again, and again. Meanwhile, where have you packed your own hurt? Are you following me on this? If this crusade happens each year, maybe this year is not the time to try to be of help, but to pray about and seek to come to some sort of resolution about your marriage? Father God, You know us so much more than we know ourselves, and we thank You for loving us beyond how good we consider ourselves to be. Lord, I pray for Rgsoundguy- for whatever has just come undone within him. Give him comfort and peace and guidance as to how to best serve You this weekend. Help him as he painfully approaches a need to resolve a marriage that has gone bitter. Thank You for his servant's heart in wanting to be a part of a conference to further Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen

If it is Your will, lift him up and rejuvenate him there. Or if You would have him not serve You there this year, place that on his heart, and comfort him. Work Your perfect will in his marriage and every part of his life. And we thak You and praise You. In Jesus name. Amen
