I've been cheated on and lied to by my best friend. She went back with her old boyfriend, the guy that cheated on her and another girl at the same time. This is what I get for being unequally yoked. I really believed that she was my friend and that she would never lie to me. I guess I am gullible.
This is devastating to me after trying to reach out after my divorce, which happened many years ago. I seem to always pick the women that cheat. :(

I went to your site and see you have a pic of a guy but don't divulge your gender. I assume you're the guy and that's not a gal's pic of her boyfriend or something.
I'm sorry your friend cheated on you and lied to you. She's a sinner, but you don't say if she's a Christian sinner or not. That she would return to a guy that previously cheated on her means her standards are pretty low; you deserve better. I'm sorry you are divorced, too. You've had a lot of grief and pain in your life, Limulus.
God is the one who heals our broken hearts. He promises to bring good things in the end of matters that infer the middle part is the real pits (Rom. 8: 28, 29). It's like He uses the consequenses of our sins (and we all sin - see 1 John 1) to drive us to Him and then He heals us. So turning to another person isn't going to work as well.
People are sinners - isn't that a pain?! But God never lets us down, and usually He's the last Person we turn to. May you find comfort and a better life in God - there's so much there for you. God bless you, Limulus.

i'm sorry that this happened to you. i had a similiar experience. i thought the man who was "my best friend" was THE ONE and thanked God every day for putting him in my life.
Fortunately, our Gracious God showed me what he really was. The pain was incredible. It was awful to have been betrayed in such a horrible way by a man who called himself a Chrisitan and sat next to me in church.
Fast forward to now......I am so grateful that i got to see what an evil person he was. The pain is gone and i thank God every day for the people he put in my life. i was truely saved from what would have been a disasterous relationship.
Look to the future and rest in the plans God has for you. It will take time, but His way is waaayyy better then your way.

I'm sorry you have been hurt Limulus. Reach out to the Lord for comfort and healing. He will never leave you or betray you. Make him your best friend, put him above all things in your life. In time he will reveal someone better for you than this person. Walk in his ways at all times and your life will be blessed. Hang in there you're not the only one to ever feel this way.

This has nothing to do with being unequally yoke...unless you were the christian and she was not...if that being the case...then why so much trust in her in the first place. I am sorry that you are devasted...but at least you know she was not the one for you??

Hey Limulus,
I just want to say that Im sorry, something like this is never easy, and no matter what anyone says, we still feel that hurt, but know that Jesus Christ can bring peace, strength and love to you. Sometimes we have to be patient. I believe everyone wants to meet their soul mate, that one they will some day marry and be happy with, but being patient and waiting on the Lord is the best choice any of us can make.

Cheer up!! Think of the testimony beyond the pain. You know me, I preach... but have felt pain in more ways than one. As an encouraging factor, look forward, pick up your heart, and know that God is the healer of ALL the broken hearted. As much as the ending of a relationship pains us, it should give comfort after healing, that God saved us yet again from spending our earthly days with the wrong person. He may not affect free will, but He will quicken your spirit man to the right person at the right time. So... cheer up!!
