Hello everyone,
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Travis, and I live in Terre Haute, Indiana. I am 25 years old, and have four years at Indiana State University, although I did not graduate. I was pursuing a degree in English and Creative Writing. To be completely honest, I just simply lost my zeal for going to school and the debt I was accumulating from it. Shortly before I left school, I began walking in the path of the prodigal son. Common sense says that, as a result, I lived in the hog pin for a while (almost four years). The LORD has recently been helping me straiten up, and drawing me back to Himself.
I do not have a bunch of work experience, but I am very teachable, a quick learner, and will work hard at any position (even if is cleaning toilets). I have been out of work for two months, and have used all my savings, so I need a job. Job hunting has been almost completely unfruitful. At my most recent job I worked as a pizza delivery person for two years (April 2006), until I had to quit due to improper auto insurance (employer wouldn't provide it, and I couldn't afford it). Before that, in 2002 while I was still in college, I went to San Diego, CA for the summer with Campus Crusade for Christ. There I worked at SeaWorld. The summer after that, I worked at a factory building patio doors in Goshen, Indiana. Since then, I did not work much while in school, but shortly before I stopped attending college, then I started delivering pizza.
To go beyond my work experience, I love to read, love to write and consider myself fairly good at it. I am passionate about sharing my faith and am not uncomfortable doing it. I am also a thinker and a researcher and continue to learn, despite not being in a school setting. Does anyone know o f any jobs available that would consider hiring someone like me? If you are intrested, I have resumés and samples of some of my writing (if needed). Thank you for reading my "job-needed" post. E-mail me at tsnody2001@gmail.com with any advice, questions, or job offers. Thank you.
Travis
