"Marriage is about the only institution for which no spare parts are provided. You replace worn out or defective parts of an engine with spare parts, but there is no such things in marriage. It has no reverse gear either" ---- Anonymous Marriage is the most solemn, sacred and serious union into which people enter. It is sacred because it is established by God Himself. Serious because it bind s the man and woman together in a relationship so close and intimate that their entire future will be profoundly influenced by it, and until death do them parting, God hate divorce. The saced and sanctity of marriage is expressed in the marriage vows itself" "Marriage is the relationship between man and woman in which the independence is equal the dependence mutual and the obligation reciprocal" __________ Louis K, Anspacher " A good marriage is not a contract between two persons but a saced covenant between three. Too often Christ is never invited to the wedding and find no room in the home, Why? It is beacuse we have misrepresented Him and fogotten His joyful out-look on life? ____ Donald T. Kauffman " Even if marriage are made in heaven, man has to be responsible for the maintenance" ---- Kroebler News Are you enjoying your marriage or you are enduring it? Is your marriage a blessed or a bleeding union ? It is never too late.God the author of marriage will amend every broken wall if you can invite Him into the Home. Rise up and march forward in the strength of the Lord, God bless you all. Edited TOS 13

ORIGINAL: Akinbowale Are you enjoying your marriage or you are enduring it? Is your marriage a blessed or a bleeding union ? Enjoying it more than I can describe. I have been married 45 years, and it has been great. My wife is my friend, partner, and supporter of my ministry. We share everything, but give each other plenty of space for our individual enjoyments. She does not like to fish or hunt, I do not like to shop or watch chick flicks. But our individuality has never been a problem. We have three children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren (and that number will soon grow expotentialy). It took a few years (5 or 6) for us to really settle down into loving and caring for each other; and we have not even argued in years; ever since we matured to the point where we realized that proving one was right just did not matter. Never in 45 years have we gone to bed angry at one another (which I think is very important). We are very affectionate with each other and if the sex was any better I would go into apoplexy. Praise God for the institution of marriage. Thanks RC

I endured one for over a couple of decades. After that ended I thought I'd be single the rest of my life, but now I'm blessed with a fabulous husband.

Well, I am a newlywed. I have been married for about 8 and 1/2 months. I will probably be told that I am saying this because of "honeymoon bliss'. But I believe in my heart that my husband and I have the makings of a great marriage. We both love and desire to serve God and have Him as the foundation and head of our marriage. We are each other's best friend. We are always laughing and teasing each other. We tell each other we love each other and we really show it too. We talk about the "hard stuff" even when its uncomfortable. We are true partners, making every decision together. We can't imagine being married to anyone else. And we have no desire to be married to anyone else either. I think its the right foundation for a successful and happy marriage.

Are you enjoying your marriage or you are enduring it? Is your marriage a blessed or a bleeding union ? Blessed. Absolutely blessed. We've been through and are going through some really hard things, but God is growing us both individually AND as one every single day. It'll be 10 years this January. To God be the glory!

MARRIAGE: A BLESSED OR BLEEDING UNION? I'm yet to be married, so I can't fully speak within the content of your question. However, the relationship I have with my girlfriend is an extremely beautiful and blessed thing, and I believe it's a resemblance of what our married life will be like. Marriage should never be considered a bleeding union. Sadly, what shouldn't be sometimes is. I have seen more marriages endured than I have seen marriages that felt blessed. Marriage wasn't designed to be an experience suffered through. The structural design and concepts of what true marriage is supposed to be like is brilliant. It's the point where two join into one flesh under a covenant of commitment before the God that joined them together, that man is not allowed to separate. Where the instances become that of a man loving his wife more than his own body, treating her with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs of life. Where the wife becomes submissive in everything and respects her husband equally. Where the husband's body belongs not to himself, but to his wife, and the wife's to her husband. Considering the aspects of how marriage is outlined in the Bible, I don't believe there is room for bleeding unions. Unfortunately, that isn't the reality of things, but still.
