It's called "believing in your country, and the hearts and wills of the people in it." Presidents used to do it all the time, from both parties. To a liberal that sounds like heresy, but it's true.

Yeah, it's that 'Vision thing', remember? You mean having vision like the "politics of hope" and "Change you can believe in" of the Obama campaign? God, I hope not. That gay-sex-affirming, abortion-loving, tax-raising yahoo would be a nightmare. But since apparently God wants him in, there's nothing we can do about it. As I said in another thread, American liberals have been crying out for a secular Messiah (since they want nothing to do with the real one, hi, Oprah!). Looks like they're about to have those prayers answered.
