Store here.

I'd heard several pundits suggest this would be a good play for Obama when he effectively clinched the Democratic nomination. What do you think? Does this help him? I think it makes him look better in the eyes of many Clinton supporters, that's for sure.

What's new? Another Democrat trying to bail out someone that's financially irresponsible. - With other people's money!

It's old practice on all sides. Alan Keyes is still in debt... just that nobody cares enough about his craziness.

Very standard, and probably a significant reason she was willing to sink as much personal money into the campaign (via loans) as she did.

I think we really need to get to the point where those running for office use their own money, then they won't be so quick to spend on running smear ads 24 7. Obama has raised over 250 mil so far, now he wants to help poor hillary because she spent too much. Too bad for her.

Please forgive me if my comments may take this thread off topic.

All this talk about Obama asking his supporters to help Clinton makes me a bit uncomfortable, especially in light of this media event in Unity.

Once again, the Democratic Party has talked itself into a bad situation. They promised the shot at the presidency to one person who has done a lot for the party, only to take it away and give it to some upstart. Then to placate the elder they convince or persuade the younger that the only way he could win would be to take the elder on as a running mate.

The debt run up by the elder becomes the responsibility of the party (at least, the responsibility of some in the party), for the sake of the party.

Can you say DREAM TICKET.

Obama to Hillary, "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine!" What better way to get Hillary supporters on Barack's side? A public bribe is all this is! The little party in Unity, Pa. yesterday was sickening! If Hillary was a true smart girl, she'd say no thank you, Barry!

Didn't you love the Obama's blue tie that coordinated with Hillary's dress?

Substance, baby! Substance!

Obama should be nice and cordial toward the Clintons but he should by no means kiss their feet to gain favor from her supporters. He's up 15 points in some polls without her and her husband campaigning for him. Meanwhile, the "Femi-Nazis", who only care about stomping on men and putting a woman in the white house, still claim they won't vote for him, one saying she's writing in Hillary.
