Metro Prayer for June 20, 2008
We had a very violent week: Four different shootings in three days and two 18 yr-old men are dead…the 18th & 19th homicides this year.
One of the young men, Tony Herron was a regular at the Hope Center for 10 years.
Sadly, we have asked you to pray many times against the violence in our cityand ask that you will continue to intercede for the youth in the Metro area.--
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Please be in prayer for the children going to area pools. There has been a history of harassment and danger at the city pools. Pray that the Lord would spread his mantle of peace and safety over each pool and that there would not be one drowning this year. Pray this would be a summer of fun and safety for Omaha’s children.
Psalm 16:1 Keep me safe, O God for in you I take refuge.
According to Omaha for Decency the viewing of pornography persists as a problem for members of U.S. Churches.
They quote from a study that found that 60% of Christian men had viewed porn within the past year. But it's not just the men who struggle with pornography.
Other research found that women accounted for one in three visits to adult websites. Please pray that Christians in the Metro area will pursue purity.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

pray for true revival to happen in Omaha Nebraska and
pray for churches in the Omaha area that have fallen into false teachings will turn back to sound doctrine and
pray for those in the area that have fallen away from Jesus will turn back torwads JESUS

Father,
We pray for a revival in the Omaha area;
That many will draw near to you;
That those who have left your way of living will turn back to your way of love;
That churches will teach the simple truth of your Word, the Bible;
That the people of Omaha and other areas will live by your love.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father, asking that You would send a revival to the hearts of Your people in Omaha Nebraska and across this country, and across the world. May many more hearts be turned to YOu.
That You would protect the children, young people, and everyone from the violence.
In Jesus precious name we ask. Amen
