Prayer for Spiritual Makeover - 5/7/2008 10:50:00 AM

Hey everyone, I would like everyone to pray from me as I start a spiritual makeover. It seems like lately I have been a rut and I want to get out of that. I have 5 things that I will be doing everyday for the next 30 days. They are pray on knees, sing, reconnect with others such as and old friend, family members, etc, pray with others, and find and create a special place. I will be using these forums to pray with others. Please pray that God will open my eyes, ears, and heart to Him in a way like I have never done before. I look forward to the journey ahead and a closer and stronger walk with Our Lord.

Lord I pray that you will lead and guide ChildofGod73 as they seek to know you more.
May understanding and knowledge of your truth be revealed in a mighty way.
I pray Lord this will be a time that will bring a closer relationship with you that will last forever.

Wow, that is great....I am praying for you. That really is a great idea to doing a spiritual makeover, I am experiencing that right now. I feel this cloud just hanging over me and
I am sick of it..I am just sick...Maybe you have helped me and opened my eyes to an idea
for me to do this as well....Thank you!!

I want to thank you all for your prayers. I have made steps in the spiritual makeover. I have been trying to do the things on the list. I have prayed on my knees everyday. I have been praying before but it was not on my knees and sometimes it was just a quick prayer after going to bed at night. There is just something about praying on your knees that seems to bring you closer to the Lord. I the biggest problem I have faced with this is finding the time to pray and sing each day. With a 16 year old and a 2 year old I am busy. I think the making the commitment to pray each day on my knees and sing it a part of the makeover. I read about this makeover in an old Guidepost. When I thought about doing it I knew that hardest part for me would be finding the time and making the commitment to follow thru each day for the next 30 days. Well, it day 5 and so far I have done alright with it. I try to pray in the morning before everyone gets up. Thin throughout the day when I have a few minutes. I look over the prayer request here and say a few prayers. I the reconnecting part was a bit hard for me. I was not sure who to reach out to. Then I came across some old pictures of me and my cousins. There was some I wanted to send to my cousin that lives in FL. So I got her email sent them to her. As far as I know she has never made a commitment to Christ. So this maybe a way the Lord is opening a door. If it is pray that I will do as the Lord would have me to do. Please keep praying for me as I keep going down the road on this spiritual makeover. I will keep you posted on my progress. I think the Lord is trying to get me ready for some thing because I had read the Spiritual Makeover story in Guidepost a few months ago. I had thought about doing it then, but I did not make an effort. This I came across the Guidepost story again a couple of weeks ago. Also my pastor has done sermons about lining up with God word and the Power of the Spoken word for the last 2 or 3 weeks. So now just seems like the right time to be going down this road. When I started this I knew i would get out of it what I put into it. Keep praying that God will open my eyes so I can see what He is saying to me. Open my ears so I can heart what He is saying to me. Open my heart so I wan apply what He is saying to me. Thanks again for your prayers.
