Is anyone else watching this internet "televsion" station? I came across it when Veronica Belmont moved from Mahalo Daily to Tekzilla, and I was amazed to see Patrick Norton of The Screensavers already there as co-host! I loved the good-ol' days of TechTV (even better when it was ZDTV), before it was ruined by the merger with G4, so I was delighted to see so many of the TechTV staff working at Revision3 (Roger Chang is behind the scenes, though they're notabily missing Leo Laporte who is working TWiT.tv) I'm not as enthused that the awful Martin Sargent is still hanging around, but I just don't watch his show (except the episode where Leo was on.)
After watching a few episodes of Tekzilla, I started looking at the other offerings from Revision3, and found a few others that I like. iFanboy is a lot of fun, even though I don't have the money to buy comics these days, it's still cool to hear about what's going on. Systm has some really cool DIY projects. I think my favorite show, besides Tekzilla, is Scam School, though. The host, Brian Brushwood, is hilarious. He's a magician/comedian, and the show is focused on tricks that can be pulled off in bars to get attention or free beers. Although I'm not a fan of bars, and I don't drink, he's got such style in showing off these tricks that it's a lot of fun to watch. It's one of the few shows I'll actually be going through the archives to see more of.
I have to wonder if this might be the future of "television", because I've been seeing more and more direct-to-internet video content. Revision3 shows aren't just 5 minutue vlogs, either. The weekly episodes for most of shows are 20 -40 minutes long (including short commercials), though there are more vlog length mini-episodes as well.
