Happy Mothers Day everyone !!! Hope everyone has a great day. Alexis (9 year-old) had to go to the ER yesterday she pulled a muscle and bruised her ribs poor little thing in so much pain. I feel so bad for her. There isn't really anything I can do to help her just give the pain medicine the doctor gave us.

My kids were dying when they heard it. Even they realized that that is how they talk. They should have had one that said "Mother, I need to use the bathroom could you please kindly finish up in there" and then "Mooommmm!!! I got to peeee now!!!!! What's taking you so long!!!!! You've been in there forever!!!!"

Maggie and Jess, when I feel like that, I remember back to my days of working at the hospital in xray. Even there, there was a constant need of doing the same things over and over and you don't always feel like you are accomplishing much. But when I was out for a day or two and no one had worked in "my" area (except for the really important things), I came back to a gigantic mess, not unlike when I'm sick or unable to do much at home for a couple days. Sometimes I think I got more in the way of rewards when I was working, because I got a decent paycheck there and money was never tight then. BUT I had to leave Noah in daycare, and hated that part of it. My rewards now might be mostly unseen, but they are there...in the hearts and lives of my kids and my husband.

Yolanda that's what its like here too! I think it gets more hectic and busy the more kids you get too! I could keep things quite tidy and organised with just Grace, but now with another bubba and Grace getting older its so hard to keep clean and organised and spend time with the kids yet spend time doing other things that you have to do to plus having a little time to relax yourself. WE have decided to wait on the house stuff. I can't remember whether I said that or not in the old thread.

Sometimes I feel like I should just let the kitchen floor stay dirty... Oh, I know I shouldn't, but... Nathan got his first busted lip today. He fell, but didn't cry for long. Scared the dickens out of me, though. He's such a boy. He can find the smallest bit of mud in a large park; he seems to enjoy digging in the mud so much, I don't have the heart or will to stop him. He can take the big boy slides now, too. The slide is taller then me, but does pretty well.

LOL...I was at that stage years ago...now I DO let the cleaning go if I need to...I figure eventually I will catch up on it again. It is a never ending cycle, but being organized really helps...so I have worked hard this past year to organize and not just clean. Yes there are days I don't want to walk across my floor because it is nasty (ok, so I also have a floor thing...I vacuum at LEAST once a day cause I can't stand stuff under my feet). Really though it gets easier when the kids get bigger...my older two are now at the age that I can be in more of an "oversee" mode then a "hands-on" mode.

I might have an easier time keeping up if I was actually getting any sleep and then I might not want to sit and just drink coffee all day. Christina, you asked about our trailer...yes, it's a travel trailer. We live near a National park, and they have three campgrounds in the park, and one of them is awesome. We camp mostly to get away, more than the camping experience. We used to have a tent, and we tented sometimes, until I was too pregnant to sleep on the ground anymore Hubby's parents camp there every weekend, and lots of other people from our little town. So we know lots of people there. It's near a big fishing village, so we can get seafood if we like, or whatever. It also has the highest tides in the world, so we can do beach walks, and things like that. Oh, and there are tons of trails and hikes, a gigantic playground (more helpful in a few years) and a golf course. It's a small national park, but it's so nice to go there, we really love it. Of course, if we have friends going somewhere else some weekend, we will go along. I'm getting excited. There was one problem with the trailer, it's about 30 years old and the floor was rotten in some places, so hubby is ripping it up and putting new plywood and then laminate floor. Hopefully he can get it done tonight so that I can get in there and start cleaning. However, he works at a farm sometimes in the summer, and the guy might want him to work tonight. I hope not!! The people who we bought the trailer left lots of stuff in there: patio lights, plates, bowls etc., kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave. So we don't have to buy any appliances for it, and the fridge in it is brand new. We are ripping out the old curtains and valences and replacing with white mini blinds, we found some new cushions for the table bed, they were brand new and only $35! For our bed in the back, I think we'll throw out the cushions and get a futon mattress for that part. I doubt it will all be done by this weekend...hubby wants to leave friday morning! How was everyone's mother's day?

Glad you had a good day, Sandy. Happy Monday, everyone! We have a WIC appointment this morning and I have to see if I can get into the doctor. I survived the weekend with this sinus thing, but don't want to go another day with this never ending headache! Sandy, isn't this the second time I've had a sinus thing right before you were coming? If you're still wanting to come this week, and PLEASE do not feel like you have to...only if you really want and are needing a break. If you say "another time", I won't be hurt...and if you wanted to come today, I won't be hurt. My mom got the email and read the post about her. Now I'm sure she'll read the entire blog over the next few days...Yikes! It's different to put things out there for you all and for me to look back on, but weird to think of my Mom reading it, KWIM?
