I was off of the forum for a couple of months and came back to find that nobody is discussing Smallville anymore. Anyone still watching it?

I watched some of the last episode, and my children laughed at me for watching it. I'm just glad that Clark wasn't mopping over Lana this time, instead he'd used his frustration to galvanize him into action. Still not healthy, and still Lana-obsessed, but at least he's not simply pouting around the barn. I just want them (the writers and producers) to get over the Lana-obsession. Which they likely won't.

I just don't get the whole "Chloe marrying Lex" thing.

ORIGINAL: ladioffaith I just don't get the whole "Chloe marrying Lex" thing. Lana married Lex, not Chloe Speaking of Lana marrying Lex of all people: *barf* My viewing of this show has been rather spotty. For the first few seasons, I watched about every single episode. For 2 or 3 seasons, I missed most episodes (but I wound up seeing some of those missed episodes when they were repeated late afternoon on Sundays). For the past couple of months, I've been back to watching every episode (when I remember to). Lana apparently had a miscarriage on a recent episode. I missed the part about what Lex did to the baby... can anyone here tell me the deal about that? Did Lex at some point konk Lana out and inject the fetus with Kryptonite or what? Before the miscarriage episode, all I heard was some doctor telling Lex, "You never did tell Lana what you did to the baby, did you?" Then Lex was shown burning Lana's baby medical files. Sometimes, I do get a little tired of Clark's fixation on Lana. For those of you who haven't been watching: On a recent show, Lana figured out for herself what Clark's secret is. You know what strikes me as funny about Clark's "secret?" In the course of this show, several different people have been told about it! I think the first to learn about Clark's secret was Clark's buddy Pete (who moved away). Then some little kid with special powers found out (but he later died). Chole has known for awhile. Lex's dad knows Clark's secret. Obviously, Green Arrow, Aqua Man, The Flash and that robot guy know. And there are a handful of other super villians / heroes who have learned Clark's secret too - but they wound up dying or going crazy. It's just funny to me that something that's been revealed to so many people is considered a 'secret.' Is it just me, or does anyone else here think that the actress who plays Lois looks a little too old for Clark? (Before anyone stones me, I'm a woman). I also sense zero chemistry between them (and yes, I'm aware that their characters aren't supposed to be exactly fond of one another, but still...)

i think they are holding off the Clark/Lois romance, since it is not supposed to start until they are both working at the Daily Planet.

I too am getting upset with the whole Lana character. While she was the HS GF in the comics, it never went that far and by the time Clark was past High School, she is only rarely ever mentioned. Of course Chloe is a new character for the series with no analog in the old comic story line.

I am wondering what Chloe's meteor powers will be. I too wonder if the baby was removed and is being artificially raised. That is very Luther-like.

I still watch Smallville every week. I enjoyed the Justice League storyline a lot. Yes, Clark is a little Lana-obsessed, but his character is supposed to be just barely 20 or so now, so he is still very young (spoken from the wise old age of 41 ). By the way, Lana was back in Clark's life in the comics way back in the 80's and they dated again. This never took place in current comic continuity, of course. Norman

Ya think CW is going to spin off Oliver Queen and company in a Justice League show? I would watch it.

Have all of them dropped out of college? There was something about Lana first coming to stay with Lex because the college was closed for repairs after all the destruction at the end of last season, but that surely would be rectified now.

There was a pilot made for an Aquaman series, the trailer for it looked amazing, and I hear the episode was pretty decent as well. However, it never made it into production. I'd love to see a Smallville spin-off, especially if it's more about super-heroing than about teen angst. I wonder if Lobo will ever show up on Smallville...

Lobo on Smallville? At least then Clark would meet an alien from a different planet! Norman

And then there's J'onn J'nzz (the Martian Manhunter) who hasn't been formally introduced yet, but hopefully will be soon.

I missed part of the Titan episode, so I thought he was from Krypton, since he was an escapee from the Phantom Zone. And if they haven't officially introduced the Martian Manhunter, then Clark hasn't actually met him yet, or at least he doesn't realize it. Norman

I didn't catch on that you were talking about planets other than Krypton, I thought you meant other planets in general! However, I don't think Titan and many of the other Zoners are Kryptonian anyway. Aside from Zod and his disciples (Aethyr and Nam-Ek), their powers haven't matched up with Clark's. (I'm doing research on a Smallville Wiki, I'm not getting all these names from memory). Titan had some sort of spikes, Aldar ate people's bones, Baern had some sort of energy/radiation powers and Gloria was some sort of plant creature. I'm pretty sure that Gloria explicitly stated that she wasn't from Krypton.

I'm loving Smallville right now. It's my soap opera *lol*. I'm still waiting to see what they are going to do about Chloe. I don't think she is long for the series, being that she was the only one to know the truth in regards to Clark until Lana finally figured it out. In the comics & movies, for some reason no one ever put two and two together and realized that he was Superman. In my opinion, that put's Chloe in a very dangerous situation. Obviously she won't be around after Clark starts working at the D.P. with Lois. What is the deal with Lana and Lex? What did he do to the baby? Did the baby really die, or did Lana deliver it while she was out cold? It wasn't a normal baby. Maybe this baby will be Clark's, Mordred. Oh, and I too have been waiting for a Batman cameo. When Tori Spelling was on a couple weeks back her character made some kind of reference to Gotham City. It's only a matter of time in my opinion.

They could make her tragic death the incentive for both Clark to go the superhero route and Lois to get serious about being a reporter. quote:

I think maybe he was trying to make some kind of supersoldier type to take out Clark and the meteor infected people.
