I'm currently reading three novels, two books of short stories, three history/archaeology books, and am between novels in three series. As long as you can keep it all straight, have fun!

I try to focus on one novel at a time but sometimes I have several going at a time.

I find that reading 2-5 is the best for me. More than 5 and I start to loose interest in 1 or 2 of the others or I forget where I leave them. I must admit that I can't read War and Peace with multiple others, but with most things it's easier to keep my options open. Then I can read whatever I feel like at the time. Otherwise I can get bored with one and go from novel to novel without finishing anything. Right now I'm reading: Kon-Tiki (non-fiction adventure/history) As They Were (non-fiction biographical essays) Ringworld (science fiction) The Ketogenic Diet The Italian Secretary (mystery/thriller) and The Art of Kissing Ringworld and The Italian Secretary are backburner books but the others have all been worked on in the last few days.

Right now I'm reading one non-fiction and one fiction book. Usually, I only read one book at a time, but I thought I would give this a try. We'll see how it goes.

I always read multiple books at a time, and I don't read fiction very often. I don't seem to have a problem keeping them straight.
