As CCM Magazine transitions to an online-only format, we'd love to know what you want to see on our websites. What do you want to see on CCMmagazine.com and ChristianMusicPlanet.com? What improvements can we make? What things do you like about the sites? What don't you like about the sites? How can we serve you better? Basically we're asking: "What do you want and what would make you come to our websites?" Please give us your honest answers and we will take them into sincere consideration. Thanks!

What I would like to see: More in depth coverage that explores what drives our (God's) bands and artists. Information on the Christian music scenes and labels. Edgier and more objective reviews and articles. Better website layout, this one looks like something from the late 90's, and it seems to crowded. More info on the various genres from Christians pop, hip hop, ska, rock, heavy music, punk, emo, etc. . . This e-mag is serving a vital purpose for the church. I believe God uses His musicians, bands, and artists to reveal and proclaim Himself, His Son, and His Spirit. Think revelation and prophesy through mass media. Your site is His trumpet. Proclaim Him

Maybe an article dealing with ministry at concerts. Bands used to have altar calls and prayer times at their concerts. Nowdays, Christian concerts are just another music event not to be distinguished from the world. I'm sure there are exceptions, but the majority of concerts I have attended have little or no ministry connected to them. I just would like to see an article dealing with why this has happened or maybe a spotlight on bands that do make direct ministry a central part of the concert experience. Go into all the world and sing positive songs to all nations...?

I wonder if Christian musicians should go to Bible college or equip themselves in some ministry school BEFORE going out on the road and recording albums?

I think there should be more on urban gospel artists. Its seems here on this board, they do not get a lot of love here because the board is dominated with CCM fans. Now, I don't have nothing against CCM, however, when urban black gospel is discussed here, there is a lot of negativity because there are so much judgement against the artists even though they don't know the people's hearts for ministry.

My favorites are Pillar, 12 Stones, Sanctus Real and Disciple. Headliners on these groups, concert information and church activities would be great.

I like the layout of the site, but I think some parts of it are a bit too flashy. It seems like something is always blinking on at least one part of whatever page I'm on. I'd love to see more coverage of independent artists. Maybe even an artist database that only features independent musicians. More interviews would be great... I love reading those. :D One thing I think would be really interesting is a section about the videos that artists make. For example, you know how there was a blog about Sanctus Real's "dirty" CD? What if there was a whole page highlighting the most interesting videos artists upload? I know that would take a huge amount of monitoring singers/bands webpages, but it would be so awesome. :) Other than that, I can't really think of anything. I love the site overall. :)

Simplicity. First, I'd like to know, are you talking about the forums? Or the CCMmagazine website? Or maybe both? I've been turned away from your website for a long time because it seems to cluttered. It's my opinion that if you can make something simple, yet proffesional, people will be more likely to be attracted to it. You need to make it easier to use. More is not usually better. I hope I don't sound mean, because I'm not trying to...I'm just giving some suggestions.

I would like to see more harder edged music represented not just the usual safe bubble gum christian music that you see with a great mag like CCM.
Frost like ashes
Crimson thorn
Crimson Moonlight
Antestor
Mortification
Oil
Blood n fire
Rob Rock
Narnia
even Stryper
These are just some that deserve to be heard to there spreading the message of Christ Jesus just as much as Natilie Grant,Diciple, Fireflight and Days of fire are but there ignored because there considered not mainstream enough blah blah blah
I cant stand it when corporate America tries to tell what I should buy and like thats why I HATE Mtv and GMC..... Sorry thats not a knock on CCM if I hated them I wouldn't be a subscriber ; )

I have subscribed to myccm.org and would like the sites, this one too be a place where you can get all forms of christian media. Have a You Tube or God Tube section, so people don't have to go all over the internet to get the info that they want. It should all be on one site. Also, organziation and a good format is so important. The info should be easily organzied and easy to find. The site should be colorful, fun, and interactive. Also, use lots of help topics for new users, and those of us who are not tecnically savy. I was just at my ccm and had no idea how to put a player on my page until another member told me. It seems like what the site had to offer was vauge and not very interactive. We are in a huge digital age, and grapics, and streaming should be in your face! When I was on the different sites they are not very well layed out, it just looks like it was thrown together. Where is the music? If you are selling music as an industry, when I visit the site, I want to hear the lastest thing off the charts through my speakers. Music should be playing as soon as someone goes to the website. I've seen artists do this on their band websites, it surprises me that this wasn't the case for the main industry sites.
