so me and my friend made a band and we named it De Younge. dont aks for an explenation cause it is hard to explain.
anyway and we have been getting weird comments on things like MySpace and Faith Freaks so we are changing the name but we are torn as to which name! so we want your help as to which name you like best.

I like over the static b/c it tells me that your band can be heard over all the static - Also makes me think that God comes through in all the static  Good luck with your band

You need a name that means something. When you say things like, "Don't ask what our band name means, it is hard to explain", you will only alienate anyone who may otherwise be a fan. A name is a way for your audience to connect with you, something to identify you with in their minds.
The story behind a band's name is one of the funnest things about being a fan! You want something not just "fashionable" or trendy or catchy, but also with a solid meaning behind it.

I also voted for Over the Static. That sounds like a very good band name! Make sure it has plenty of personal meaning, and be sure to answer everyone that asks WHY you chose that name.

Over the Static is cool, but there is also a band called FM Static.
De Younge, sounds like the singer from Styx

hmm I voted Over The Static but what style is it. Genre carries a lot with me on names. take the band As Cities Burn. or As I Lay Dying. they so sound country style. 
the name should fit with the genre I feel.

Mercy Fall Out sounds like MercyMe and Fall Out Boy. Over the Static sounds like FM Static and Hyperstatic Union. De Younge sounds like a rapper name. Change it to Chuck Norris. YOu can't go wrong with that.
