My older brother is sort of hen-pecked. Meaning that my SIL for all intents in purposes runs the roost.
1 She is so afraid of getting pregnant that she is not intimate with him.
2 She runs the finances and has a gambling problem. (Got foreclosed last yr -then evicted earlier this year).
3 He has very few friends. (anti-social)
4 He got upset when SILs sisters husband bought SILs uncle a motorcycle.
5-My niece and nephew eating habits ( fast-food at least several times a week, and not eat healthy balanced meals (tv dinners) because SIL does not like to cook.
My younger brother and I are trying to decide how to talk to him,and I was wondering if there were any ideas on how to approach this matter..

Quick and dirty question - is she a born-again Christian?

And then, of course, the question is.. is your brother?

Tou would be correct to do it with your younger brother, the testamony of 2 or more validates it.
And should you do so with gentleness and respect, and dont be insulting to the sil.
However this could be a bigger problem than you can handle, ie: professsional help. I was a counselor at one time. Even though it is not a healthy relationship, he may feel safe in it never the less. He could take your intervention as an assult on him. The best way to get healing is to get a dialogue going on between them with a mediator (a therapist) so they both see the problem. once that is established then the relationship can mend. Communication is probabbly the best for them.
My prayers are with them
