Would you like to be my friend? What do you consider to be a friend? Someone who listens and gives positive affirmations?
I could more people in my life who do that. Could you?
This thread is for friendship. People seeking friendship who really need more friends in their life and for positive uplifting comments.

Yep all you can drink. And this pic seemed the most like what Denny's provides and I absolutely love Denny's cappuccino and their free refills. Lack tack? Join the club. I'll feel right at home with you. And does that mean I can be bluntly honest too?

We are doing question of the day over in the chat thread. If I did that here I would ask What do you consider the most important thing in a friend? For me it is to be honest and keep a confidence.

Ginny, I hope you already know you have a friend in me!
IRL, I can count my true friends on one hand. I choose not to have many friends. I tend to get caught up in their lives on a personal level way too much. It is safer for me to have cyber friends.

For me, the most important attribute in a friend is the ability to listen and empathize without getting sucked in to the other person's drama.

I do that for my daughter everyday.
It is important to have someone you can talk to who will just listen most of the time it is enough to say what is troubling you.

Well, maybe "drama" was a bad choice of words. What I meant is someone who can be understanding and supportive while still being able to step outside of any given situation.

Ralph Waldo Emerson spoke a great truth about a friend being someone we could think aloud. A friend is someone you can be yourself with and not be afraid of being rejected.

Sounds a lot like me, Melissa. I have had lots for friends walk away from me too for one reason or another, not that there were problems, they just found other interests............oh the other hand, I guess I have been guilty of that too.
