I didn't actually leave Rome but left the church of England that is pretty much the same and this was my letter, and believe it or not my father is the Priest.. In no way do I wish this post to change our relationship and truly feel you and everyone involved to be truly God fearing.. have you ever wondered why I have been acting so odd about listening or attending service/ this letter i have been wanting to send should explain hey, I didn't want you to think I had forgotten about your forum, or invitations to attend services. I thank you for the lengthy discussions the other nite on issues that are very important yet difficult for me. I understand your devotions to that style of worship and I know how you feel about doctrinal debates..so please do not feel that I am trying to engage one..I just really need to start being honest about my convictions and say for starters that I might have been misleading if not wavering in the fact that when talking to you i am usually trying to convince myself that liturgical thought and life is okay.. after al ot of conviction I am really starting to feel that it has never been my walk and i was trying to force it to be.. I know my Calvinistic-Presbyterian brothers can be very crazy in there dogma, as I was pointing out the other nite but I share that dogma no matter what in my heart of hearts..the big difference between me and them being I still feel some people that hold to a tradition closer to Rome then ours can be still possible that they are believers and just not yet open to truths that God has opened in our day.such as God being finished with the church after 1955 years just as he is finished with the nation of Israel, and that any kind of apostolic succession is not supported in scripture what so ever and in fact the appointing of presbyters was just for church leadership and governing and not for spiritual authority as in the remission of sin and so forth, and As far as iconic or sacramental systems go they can be very beautiful but I feel that i have always defended them just because I thought they were historically beautiful, even in knowing in the spirit that the Bible declares other wise. so from this day forward I am repenting from ANY such belief I know this sounds extremely flip floppy, especially with some of our latest talks but i have had this same conviction consistently for years now, . These years of consistent conviction of the Calvinistic Presbyterian understanding has had a few set backs when ever I studied liturgical apologetics to settle the battle with in, especialy concerning my family's beliefes such as knowing you and Paul to be such true believers, and it seeming to me that your sympathy's to Rome or eastern orthodoxy must have had some truth. but every time I did, I got sucked right back to Rome..and fell under major conviction..so please do not take this as judgment of ANY KIND, because this just has to do with my spiritual life alone, I am not trying to change or debate with any one, also I am very sorry in knowing you all have always needed help with in your ministry endeavors and could not understand why you knew a strong yet stand offish toward your church believer in myself to not help out with things, but i must go where he leads. when I go where he leads then I am closer to him so again I really love and welcome you and any members of your ministry's fellowship but can not partake as an official member in any way, but don't think I am planning on being a stranger. we must just agree to disagree and accept each other as believers in the most high, but with extremely differing views of Holy scripture and church doctrine, so please stay in touch, just know you are dealing with a unapologetic 5 point ( far from Rome) reformed Presbyterians puritan believer... as far as my confirmation with the C.E.E.C goes I might desire some kind of release from that but feel in wanting an official decree of some sort I am just once again using a sacramental romish mindset in thinking that anything official before some clergy would effect my standing before God..and his sovereign predestination..but anyways you guys are AWESOME Christians, I just do not agree with with your Church..that does not mean we can not hang out as true bible believing friends in fellowship so please keep an open mind..(for example) I never partake in the friday morning men's bible study because it is full of free will believing methodist and can not be under there authority, but would do anything else with them outside of that setting ANY TIME does this make any since? I feel really bad, but must follow conviction talk to you soon Brother Joel

Yoel, What exactly was the reason for starting this thread? Not sure where you are headed with it. Could you please clarify? Thanks. Heavendweller

I know what the first part of your signature means. Would you please be so kind to share what the rest of it means for me? And, what language is that? Aramaic? Just curious....

Heavendweller's suggestion is a good one, Yoel. I am closing this thread. If you are wishing to discuss Catholic issues (which I do not see in your OP at all), please visit the Catholic Discussion Index (HERE). Do not start Catholic-related threads without permission from admin.
