Hi Christine! You will forever be known as the first person to greet me in this new forums!

I am practically computer illiterate. Can I get someone else on this forum to put an avatar in for me?

Now that there are people on here of course I have to go to bed!!

Glad to see familiar faces :)

I cannot believe how many threads there are in Personally for You already. yeesh.

I'm going to be seriously cutting back on time I believe and this thread so far is the only one I'm keeping up with regularly.

Good morning, y'all

Well, some news for you...my oldest niece, Jenice, had her baby yesterday by C-section. Her water broke on Sunday morning and they tried and tried to induce labor all day Sunday and again on Monday morning, but finally had to do the C-section.

The baby is a boy, his lungs aren't fully developed yet, and he has a lung infection There's also a risk that he'll develop something (I can't recall what it was my sister said) that could cause his arteries to constrict.

Please pray for his well-being, and for Jenice's recovery, and for Jenice and her fiancee Rene.

Thanks so much

Kimberly ... I'm sorry for your neice. Will keep baby and momma in prayer.

Kath --- I changed my avatar because I kinda wanted something that wasn't really a picture, but kind of a symbol of me. I wasn't sure which I like better. But that there would be my tattoo if I ever get one, which is kinda why I wanted it as my avatar.

Did I tell y'all I bought a guitar this weekend? With all the excitment of the new forums I forgot to mention it. We went to guitar center to buy some pics for Eric's guitar, and I played around with the acoustics they had there and I fell in love with one. Eric doesn't like it, but I do. I really do. We got all the way home and realized that it didn't have it's pre-amp ... the electronic piece that makes it also an electric. So I had to drive all the way back up to El Cerrito (about 40 miles) to get the pre-amp. He just gave me a different guitar.

I'm having fun learning how to play, and even able to get through a few songs that we do in church. Maybe I'll be able to lead worship for a couple songs to relieve our current worship leader if he ever wants a week off.

I won a free chiropractic consultation from a drawing I entered. I went to my first session last night. It was neat. We did traction and electrotherapy and she felt where I need treatment most based on my complaints. They'll do X-Rays next session (we would've done them yesterday, but there's a slight possibility I may be pregnant, so wanted to wait until I know for sure), and also do my massage and an adjustment. I don't think I'll continue treatment after this free one, but it's nice to get a free adjustment.

I'm going to San Diego on Friday for work. And it's looking like I might be going to LA on Saturday too, but we're not sure yet.

you trying to slip that past us ;)

That adjustment sounds good, does your insurance cover chiropractic? Dan wants me to take him in for an adjustment.

Have you ever played the guitar at all? Lindsay wants to take lessons, but it costs a bit much.

I don't think I'm pregnant, but as an EMT I want to be careful. Since Eric and I have been intimate since my last menstruation, I can't know for sure, so I'm being safe. But I really doubt that I'm pregnant.

I'm not sure if my insurance would cover a chiropractor. If they do I'd have to go to one that's in my HMO group, and I don't think this place is.

I played a little with Eric's in college. I've been teaching myself off and on for about 8 years. This is the most serious I've ever been. I actually remember what I learned from day to day.

It's always better to be safe. :)

I have been waiting all morning for the guy from our ISP to show up. He was suppose to be here between 9-11. Yesterday he was suppose to show up between 10-12, and that didn't happen, but they did call. Today...nothing. I called them and she said she can't get ahold of him.

it is cold and rainy, and a nap sounds good. :) Mike is home sick. :(

maybe it's because you ARE pregnant :D

I presume you and Eric have talked about when you'd like to have children? is that now? Are you a little excited to find out?

We've discussed it.
Not anytime soon. About 5 years or so, when Eric has a job that will support 2 adults and a baby without my having to work.

We do have a BC method, but nothing is perfect.

I want a big famiy, he wants a medium family. I guess we'll just wait and see how many kids God blesses us with. We're both thinking at least 3, but I'd like more. I love big families and always wished I was part of one (or around more of my extended family).

The average number of kids at my church is 5 :D One of our mom's is pregnant with #4 and I asked her hubby if they were going for the average and he said "NO! Tell me where in the Bible it says "thou shalt have 5 children!" I giggled :D

My pastor has 4; and they're done.
I think the average is about 3.
