I have no idea what to name these kittens. These kittens came with no suggested names. I am not so good at animal naming. I think the clinic workers would look at me funny if when I brought them back I said their names were "Nice," "Semi-Nice," and "Mean."

Princess was about the only dog name I could think of besides "Daisy."
Matt named Ami and the first group of foster kittens.
The second group of foster kittens mostly didn't get names. Tiger didn't exactly look like a Tiger, but I still liked the name. The fluffy ones were Fluffy I and Fluffy II - or sometimes I called them by the last three digits of their ID numbers which was 814 and 815. Blackie got her name because she was black and rust colored. And Moe got his name because I was told the HS employee's daughter named the group of kittens Eeny, Meenie, Miney, Moe and Moe was the only real name in there.

You could google "pet names" and get some ideas. Even just pick the first three on the list and each time you get a batch of kittens, take the next ones down the list. No fuss, no muss.

I don't know if you recall it, but way back when Schill was a regular here, I had two beta fish in two bowls on top of the entertainment center. They didn't have names...they were fish. I don't name fish, but some here insisted that I name them, so I ended up naming one 'Left' and the other 'Right', based on their position on top of the entertainment center :)

Are they boys or girls. You could use some of the online names. Like Denny, Shawke, Stamper, and so on and so on.

Maggie, Frog (after Kimberly) Karlie, SM,

Joisey after Bill, Bubbles, Peculiar, Aga, Star after Chrisstar, Kath,...

I have one boy and two girls currently.

I don't like cutesy set names. That's the same reason I ditched most of Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe.

Interesting thought. Ami's original name at the HS was Brandy.

I don't remember that story, but left and right is cute.

I did that and the first website was broken and the second one was more like a baby name website where it listed tons of weird human names too. I did find a couple interesting names.

The calls I like the least at work...

# 1. Prank callers

Please leave me alone.

#2. Calls that go like this:

Product for sale: amethyst silver ring

caller: is that a real diamond?
me: no, it is amethyst.
caller: well, is it real gold?
me: no, it is silver.
the caller asks me these questions again several different ways, not seeming to understand my answer.

finally...
caller: so it is not real diamond and real gold?
me: no.
caller: ok, bye.

Can you not read the product description displayed for you on the screen? Do you not know that diamonds are not the only gemstone out there? Do you not know that jewelry can be made with something other than gold? Arg!

#3 People whos credit cards seem to be in Timbuktu

How big is your house or how slow do you walk that it takes you five minutes to find you card, your glasses, and a pen to write down your order number?

Re: #3 ... not only that, but why would you call a shopping network phone number to order something and NOT have that information already??????

|I keep my credit card by the computer; it's handy for online purchases, and close to the phone. Of course it didn't do me much good on vacation the other week....

I have my debit card number memorized. I pay for pretty much everything with it. I only use cash for fast food.

Yah, that is the main problem. But still some people have no idea where their cards are. My normal new customer calls take three minutes for easy customers and 5 minutes for people with a lot of questions or people with thick accents. Last night I had new customer after new customer who was taking 8-9 minutes per call because I had to wait five minutes for them to find their card or find a different card that would go through.

I'm doing well. Pretty much recovered from my surgery 7 weeks ago and working on building up some energy. Kind of reeling from the brutal murder on the Greyhound near here a couple of nights ago.

A Good Announcement:

My brother, Douglas, has joined the United States Army!

He leaves for training on August 6th.

I think this will be a really good thing for him, and I hope he succeeds and does well.

Christine, I'm so glad you're having such a good time with your family. A bit of a bad start, missing your plane, but it definitely sounds like the trip was worth it.

Catherine, I hope everything's going well with the kitties.

Wow, Catherine! I hope it will help him. I think the army can make many men men, but it can also break them. Keep us posted, please?
