I usually hate going to the dentist, however the ones that I have seen regularly are nice though. I gotta admit, I do like women dentists for some reason. Maybe its the TLC that they usually give.

I'm due to go back to the dentist soon.

How are things going, Joy?

I have been at the dentist a lot this month because I just got dental insurance through my work.

My dentist is male and he is fabulous. I had tried out two other dentists before I found him and I am so thankful that I did.

Hi, Mike, Catherine, and Trish!

Our dentist makes me laugh because he gets my mouth all ready and starts working on it, then he asks me a question!

We have done all the packing we can, and are just living on basics. I love it! We packed away all our CDs, videos and DVDs, and since then Leonard has won three CDs and a video by being a certain caller number to the Christian radio station, so it's nice to have something to play.

We sold our microwave in the last yard sale and I have hardly missed it at all...till last week I saw some microwaveable meals on sale for 99 cents and would've gotten some if we had a microwave! I don't usually use them, but at that price and with the weather so hot, they would have been handy. I really only used the micro for reheating so it wasn't worth it. I love to reheat food in the covered frying pan on low heat. Yum, the flavors mingle.

PS (a microwave to you all).

And a micro wave to you too. LOL!

We use our microwave most days. If not for meals, then to make milk drinks. Could use the stove top, but it's just easier with the microwave.

How hot has it been there, Joy? Yesterday it was 34F.

Yes, it's been hot here, Trish. It's somewhere near 100 today. 34?!?!?!? I wouldn't mind that for a day or two here and there for some relief from the heat. I am thinking we might be picking raisins off the grape vines if it gets any hotter.

Don't forget, Joy, that it's Trish's winter right now, not summer.

Very true.

I wouldn't mind if it got a little warmer. I'm not looking forward to hot weather though. My body doesn't handle the cooler temperatures, and it doesn't like the hot temperatures either.

Hi, Maggie, April, Mike, and Trish!!! And hi to all who may come later!

So good to see you all! I did forget that Trish was in winter! I'm glad you liked the pun, April. I did have a good week and weekend, Mike. Sorry you're suffering with the cold, Trish. I don't like it too cold, but hotter than 72 degrees is a bit too much. It has been up to 112 this summer, but has settled in the high 90s to 102 the last couple weeks, which is not really too bad if you don't get too active!

Joy!

So sorry about your heat! Does it cool down at night?

Our Weather

That site is not very true. Normally it is in the early 50's when I get up. I wear a flannel shirt (over a t-shirt) until 10 or so.

Hi to everybody!

Hey, April! It gets down to the low 60s at night. At 6:30 this a.m. it was 70.

Thanks for the weather site! You are pretty hot there at 87! Nice that you can wear a flannel shirt in the morning. I wear v-neck T or tank top and knee-length shorts (rolled up indoors, but full length outside) all day, every day, except when I'm at church. I change back as soon as I get home from church. I'm bashful, wearing long shorts outside and I also never wear a tank top outside, T-shirt at the least. I looked up our weather and it said 96 but it feels more like 100+ and our outside thermometer said 101 about an hour ago.

Yes it does, thank you!

I remember much of old times...
but I forgot much of what I did yesterday.

I have problems remembering what I did yesterday. I think it's fibro fog though. (I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia on Tuesday).

Trish, this morning I just started reading your thread about it. I'm praying for you!
My Mother was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It took forever for the doctors to figure out what was wrong with her. By the time they did find out, she had many other things going on with her.
She died at 86.

I will be reading your posts in there and praying for you!

Love,
April

Thanks April.

I didn't even know I had it. I knew I had health problems, but nobody put two and two together until the physiologist. I reckon she deserved the flowers I took her on Thursday!

April, I read that eating apples improves your memory! Can you remember to eat them sometimes? I'm glad your cold has gone, Mike--but you are probably much more glad than I am! Trish, I think you're very brave with all you're going through. You always have a nice word for someone, too. You're right about not posting so much, April. I used to be on CW a lot, but now I don't get here nearly so often.

Have you been watching the Olympics?

We're watching the women's parallel bars here at the moment. Women's gymnastics is the only thing that interests me.

I can't eat apples anymore. Ever since I had gastric surgery about four years ago, I can't eat them anymore. They make me sick. It's a shame because I like apples.

Thanks Joy.
