LOLOL It was rainy in the morning and then partly sunny in the afternoon. A real mixture, kinda like Spam.

Deb - have I ever told you how much I like you?

Hi everyone. This is probably the first time I've sat down all day... Got up and headed off to the run. There were hardly any folks there, but the run was a good one and we all had fun. I headed straight to the grocery store after that to get piles of food for tomorrow. Eeks! I'm sure glad I got my tax rebate this past week... I've never spent that much on groceries in my life... There had darn well better be leftovers...

Anyway, I ended up having to go to 3 stores because of course each store seemed to be missing just one item that I needed...

Got home and started the yard work: mowed the lawn, weeded the flower beds, raked under the shrubs, tried out my new trimmer and laid down fresh bark on all the garden beds. Of course, I had to make one more run to Lowe's to get more bark because it always takes far more bark than I think it will to make everything look nice. Anyway, I trimmed back plants that needed to be cut back, dead headed flowers and watered the plants and treated a few of them for aphids...

Then, I came inside, took another shower, started laundry, cleaning (bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc), putting stuff away, starting to prepare dessert/dinner for tomorrow... If I'm able to get out of bed tomoorow, I'll be happy...

Twelve - 4 moms (only one is my mommy of course), 3 husbands, 1 adult son, 3 kids and one baby...

Plus me... And my dog and 3 cats...

I started hosting Mother's Day parties at my house because I'm the only woman who's not a mom (of human kids at least). When it was at other houses, guess who had to clean and get ready for the guests? Mom. So this way, the mom's literally don't have to lift a finger (and we enforce that very strictly) and I get to boss around all the men...

Usually I make something a little "upscale", however the dietary needs in my family is getting to frustrating (lactose intolerance, food allergies, diabetics, etc), so I settled on taco salad. I bought every possible thing you can think to put on a taco salad and people can build their own avoiding the things they can't have.

For dessert, I'm making a sugar free pound cake and bought several types of berries (where again folks can pick and choose what they want) and 3 different types of cool whip (sugar free, regular and extra creamy - 'cause that's the best kind....).

Drinks will include the normal stuff as well as lemonade with strawberries (if folks are inclined) and creamy italian sodas...

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKS! I just realized I forgot to pick up the ready whip...

Applebees has some great lemonades. I had their strawberry lemonade and they put this gigantic strawberry on the edge of my glass. I LOVE strawberries! They also have a kiwi lemonade that is amazing!
