Thanks! I'm feeling pretty confident but I know anything can happen... from experience...

Woohoo! I only have my bedroom & master bath left to organize/toss/clear out. Of course, my garbage can is totally overflowing right now and my dining room table is overflowing with stuff I want to donate/give away but I'm making serious progress! Woohoo! This is the first time I've really taken the time to go through my stuff since I moved in to my house 2 1/2 years ago. I'm a very organized person so it's been driving me insane....

I also sent out an email to a few friends and family about testing for corrections and my dad called and didn't sound freaked out so I guess that's a good thing. I didn't email my grandparents though. They'll find out from everyone else but they WILL freak... Grandma wasn't thrilled about me being a police officer... I know she won't be happy about me working at the jail... I'll let someone else break it to her...

Not resisting on the "COT" - if you go back to post 3944 it may make more sense... Maybe...

BugLady - not a problem - I feel like that a lot... By the way - love the siggy today!

Trish - I'll pass! But thanks for the offer. It has been fun, but I'm ready to be done! Plus, once I get done, I have other projects I want to get done (re-painting my exterior door trims, putting up my shelving in my garage, and then just my normal stuff... ).

It is my considered opinion for a home owner that is normal stuff.

I think you're right!

I wouldn't have it any other way though. I love having my own home!

I'm not very handy. I wouldn't have a clue how to do shelving etc. I've never had to do it, so I've never learned.

I'm fairly handy because I'm cheap. I don't want to have to pay someone to do something I could do. Well, aside from changing the oil in my car. I could do it, but I don't want to mess with it...

I've always rented and lived with others, hence no knowledge to do all those things. I don't have a car, so again, no need to know that stuff.

That works too! I will admit that my dad is awesome. The things I'm not sure about, he can usually help with. I bribe him with cookies and he is more than happy to help me!

I'm sorry your grandparents aren't supportive. That would be hard for me.

I wouldn't say they don't support me --> my Grandma is just a worrier and would really rather I do something different because of that. It's not that they don't think I can do it or do it well - they just worry. In other words - they'll support me no matter what I do, but they'd rather I did something that didn't involve guns and bad people. The only person who really says something is my aunt's mom. She keeps coming up with "alternatives". The latest was that I should become an aerobics instructor... No thank you! She isn't nasty about it either - she's just a worrier too and doesn't mind sharing her thoughts on that! For that reason, I don't take it personally and I have enough folks cheering me on that it doesn't discourage me.

On a different note: I am DONE going from room to room organizing, tossing & getting rid of lots of stuff. I still HAVE lots of stuff, but less than I started with and room for more which hopefully I won't fill up too quickly.. Fortunately, I'm broke so I can't run out to the store to get more stuff... That's a good thing.

I have a few more projects to do but they are in my garage and outside and it's too hot so I'm going to kick back now and paint my toenails and work on some crochet projects (and fiddle around here...). I also need to think up something full of sugar to make. I have ice cream and stuff to make smores, but I've been craving something different. When I figure out what I've been craving, I'll make it...

Simple Peanut Butter cookies!

1 cup of peanut butter
1 cup of sugar
1 egg

Mix egg and sugar then add the peanut butter. Bake in oven at 350* for 10 minutes.

They are yummy!

What ever shape you put them in they bake that way. You can use the recipe with a cookie press. You can even add chocolate chips for a even yummier taste!

Bet it feels great to be organized. I usually am but went thru a bad time not too long ago and got all messed up. My condo that is. My brother stayed in my guest room when he was sick then when he died I just sort had a hard time with that room. Probably silly of me --but anyway it became a junk room. Now a friend is having a yard sale soon and we are going to go thru all the stuff and purge!!!! It is going to be a sitting room/office. It will feel good to have things back to my usual sweet neat way.
