Sounds like a wise decision.

We'll watch the parade on local cable, too. I'll miss being there, but it ends at 8:30, and then we'd have to drive our chairs back to our apartment.

I'm just sad that our town is so petty. Here our country's at war, and we can't celebrate the year's most patriotic holiday as a New England town because of a labor dispute. Disgraceful!

I'll be here off and on. I'm cleaning house and getting ready for company. How are you today?

I'm okay, thanks. We met John's mom for lunch at McDonald's, and I ate too much. Ugh! How are you?

Hi Deb, I am here for now. I am not feeling good though, so I am gonna probably go back to bed and rest shortly.

I'm OK. Merv had the boys help with some of the big jobs. The house is starting to look nice. Joe's complaining that we have to do extra cleaning for company, but I've been telling him this is the way I want the house to look all the time.

It's a beautiful day and we have the windows open. Last night on the news they were suggesting that people wear jackets to the fireworks. I remember chilly 4th of Julys when I was little, but it's been a long time since we've had this mild of a summer. Since our food and gas bills have gone way up, it's nice that our electric won't be as bad.

Jake told Joe he went to apply at Hardee's today because he heard they're looking for help. Please keep praying for him.

Do you have the weekend covered for attendants?

Sorry you don't feel well, Mike. Chicken soup usually helps me.

Thanks Deb, now I should get some chicken soup but I do not think I have any in the house right now. I will check to see if I have any leftover cup-a-soup at all.

Hi Mike. I think we keep cross posting. Hope you feel better soon. Rest and fluids will cure most things. Have that chicken soup Deb suggested and take a nap.

Thanks Sue, I am conflicted because while I want to play on Crosswalk, my body is telling me that I should perhaps rest instead!

My house is clean and I can chat a little if anyone's around. We just found out our guests are going to be at least a half an hour late.

Sorry I missed you Sue. Everybody except Mike vanished, and he kept saying he was going to sign off, so I went offline and played solitare. (I lead such an exciting life.)

Anyone here? Darcy? Kristin? Either Trish? Mike? Sue? James?

I'm here for a few minutes. Our internet is sporadic right now though, so I can't guarantee that I can chat. If this keeps up I'm going to contact our provider on Monday. It's frustrating because sometimes it's fast and at other times I can't even get on. Makes me think they've added too many people to our line.

Wanna come over and help me hang some shelving... clean out my craft room... vacuum the living room... do the laundry... make plans for my mom's bday... dust... water the plants...

Yes, let's keep James busy! I do so hate seeing him bored.

Sue, that's frustrating about your Internet connection.

My accomplishment for the day was writing a letter to the editor about the canceled fireworks. I pointed out that it didn't seem to be the last-minute decision that the fire chief portrayed it as. Usually, there's a sign outside the fire station all during June advertising the fireworks. Not this year! I don't think they intended to do fireworks, even after the Selectmen collected private donations.

Having the sign displayed, IMHO, would have made chiefie look more credible.

Hi Everyone, I am still here but had to sign out for while because my cold was getting the better of me!

I had the Cup-of-Soup but didn't seem to help all that much. If I do start getting better by Monday then I am going to see either the Dr. or Nurse Practitioner instead, I hope I can wait that long. I am also trying to find out if CVS started that on-site Nurse program as well?
