Hands down (for me anyways) would be the History of the Canadian Prairies...

I just can't believe how many historians have focused their studies on this topic, and even more specific topics within. I love my Canadian history, especially regional history, and i'm sure the Prairies have their fair share of exciting historical stories, but the emphasis my monotone professor decided to take was a little much.

Linear Algebra, hands down...

happydays -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (1/21/2007 6:43:50 PM)

Astronomy. I did nanage to finish it.

Hebrew was so bad I dropped the class.

Dienomore -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (1/21/2007 11:33:22 PM)

Let me see. I cannot decide between organic chem and quantative epi. I still feel some of the latent pain.

ThePrincessBride -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (1/30/2007 10:14:06 AM)

I've detested College English, not the writing so much....but the grammar aspect is what I dislike.

mutinywxgirl -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (1/31/2007 7:56:53 PM)

Okay, how nuts am I?????

I took Linear Algebra AND Organic Chemistry for fun!

I never went to college. However when I was at the RCMP academy in Regina, Saskatchewan the hardest course was applied police sceinces. I passed the midterm and final exams but not by a whole lot.

Elena1030 -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/7/2007 8:53:20 PM)

Hardest was probably one of my Spanish literature courses, because the material was hard to translate... but I did enjoy the discussion.

Stupidest decision: took Calculus because I scored so high on the entrance test for math. Should've just taken College Algebra for an easy A! I was an English major for cryin' out loud!

Also took lots of early morning classes (like 8:00 or 8:30 a.m.) which is not wise for a night owl like me...

coquelicot -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/9/2007 1:04:57 PM)

Mine, believe it or not, was English 105 (freshman-year composition class). I guess I was smart enough to be able to test into this class (it's 101/102 crammed into one semester), but it about killed me. I struggled to pull even a B. Considering that I was an English major at the time, not good. I switched my major after my first semester. [&:]

Later on, I guess my hardest class as an undergrad was the History of France. Interesting material, but the prof sure made you work. The tests were far from easy, but I did okay. I was happy with my B then!

cwb -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/24/2007 6:43:06 AM)

differential and integral calculus - equally tough. Take your pick.

timzagain -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/26/2007 4:18:28 PM)

Between maths, accounting and economics, I don't know which was the worst. Did I mention that I ignored those obvious signs, and struggled my way through not one but two business degrees?

graceandpeace -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/26/2007 10:30:55 PM)

Anyone taken Real Analysis? I took the honor version... and still regretting...

bigfrank -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/27/2007 2:50:26 AM)

Currently, Calculus and General Chemistry.

Anyone have experience with ProENGINEER software? That one gave me a swift boot in my pants today. Usually it's kinda fun, but today was an exception.

Yes, but that wasn't as bad as Complex Variables and/or Abstract Algebra. [shudder]

crankius -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/27/2007 2:09:56 PM)

Sadly, golf.

I was thoroughly enjoying hitting wiffle balls in the field with a bunch of cute boys. It took me by complete surprise that I was supposed to study the book. The professor actually expected me to memorize the rules of the game! Imagine that! [sm=icon_smile_roll.gif]

DaBird -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (2/28/2007 12:28:03 AM)

I'm a Marketing/Management major -- almost finished with my courses and will graduate in May. Thank you JESUS!

I have found that my toughest class by far has been Economics. I had Principles of Microeconomics last semester and this semester, I have Principles of Macroeconomics. Even my math and accounting classes haven't been this tough.

NoDumbBlonde -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/2/2007 6:28:50 PM)

Statistics!!! It wasn't until I got into my upper level psych classes and took psychological stats that it all made sense and I could apply it to studies/experiments. Few people got it and most got lower than a "C". Most in the class were 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th time repeaters just trying to get a passing grade! UGH. It did a number on my 3.74 GPA. I took it only once and got a "C".

Though not a dumb blonde, I was feeling it that quarter! Besides, it was a 8 am M/W/F class. UGH!!!

coach_bob1 -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/6/2007 1:17:06 PM)

Mine was statistical theory. My dad passed away that semester so I didn't really show up too much b/c I didn't feel like putting forth the effort. It was a required course for math majors. Oh, did I mention I work in institutional research doing statistical analysis?

coach_bob1 -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/6/2007 1:20:25 PM)

Oh, I also forgot to mention badmitton, b/c I was on crutches for most of the class.

SciFiGirl -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/14/2007 10:11:02 PM)

Creative Writing. Hated it. That was the hardest class for me, mostly cuz the grading was soooooo subjective and the professor didn't like me for some reason.

I took honors Physics classes for engineers. They were tough too, but I absolutely adored the classes despite it, and got A's. [:)]

roughcolliegirl -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/14/2007 10:24:07 PM)

PoliSci.

BORING!!! [sm=s14.gif][sm=aside.gif]

livelaughlove -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/18/2007 1:06:51 AM)

I do believe I'll say ORGANIC CHEMISTRY on this one!

Although I struggled through with a B the first semester, and seem to be doing a bit better this semester...all the studying and memorization just drives me crazy.

MHC681 -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/19/2007 10:25:16 AM)

neuro psychology

Steadfasthope -> RE: What was your hardest college class? (3/21/2007 1:11:53 AM)

Hands down, the hardest part was studying the same story simultaneously from two different perspectives by taking "The Rise of Modern Japan" and "Modern Chinese History" during the same spring. Yikes!![8D]
