I get burnt out. I don't get to rest as often as I should. I work all week then on the weekends i'm either at rehearsal all day on Saturday or at church all day Sunday.

It was good to nap earlier, but now i'm up at 3:30 am...lol. Luckily i'm off tomorrow so I can rest up for the week ahead.

It's a bit like a relay race for dogs, that's about the best explanation i can give.

Good morning from Australia!

Woke up over an hour ago (around quarter past 6am).

Crazy thing - a whole FLOCK of cockatoos sets down on ours and our neighbour's roof. No joke. I got photos but I can't find my camera's USB cable...

Cammo,

There's a house in our town that has thousands of parrots that live on the telephone poles/fence/etc. They've been there for years and I never believed it until I saw it.

it's not at all surprising they'd come here, though. We're so close to the national park around here it's not funny.

Thats pretty awesome! I'd never think of a bird like that being in the wild. The only ones I've ever seen were in cages.

Yeah, there's hepas of species that are native only to Australia. I've never personally seen any down there, but I've heard of people almost running into kangaroos going through that national park. Kangaroos are actually quite common on the fringes of Sydney, although they tend not to venture into the suburbs themselves. They actually had to cull them back in the Western suburbs at one point. There were so many of them on a then greenfields site.

Unfortunately there's also a bunch of introduced species that cause problems down there, such as deer (which mess up the ground and compete with food sources for the natives.

There's a lot of unusual things about here, Eucalypts which are obviously native dominate the forest as well as the flora in suburban areas, which means you don't really notice (visually, anyway) the change of seasons, they have a tendency to flow into each other. And to confuse matters, summerlike weather isn't unheard of in winter, and winterish weather isn't unheard of in summer. But then, it barely goes below freezing in most parts of Australia.

haha, no, you still get the changes like that. it's just not something you notice quite as much (as in you don't see all the trees changing colour, many don't flower etc. Somehow you still get quite a few leaves in autumn though.

I'm just lucky enough not to have any major allergies.

Also, Sydney has a lot of trees throughout the suburbs. This remains to within a few km of the city, and the CBD (what you'd call downtown) itself is nearly surrounded by a ring of parks.

Just to give you an idea:

Map of Sydney Area.

Also, I was referring to a Sydney Statistical division in another thread earlier. That's roughly the area included in it shown (at least it is on my screen).

Pretty good. I've had to put in a lot of extra hours at work this week. The school is having standardized testing, so they needed extra teachers to help give it. Getting ready for this weekend. Luckily I don't have to leave till later in the morning on Saturday.

BTW, its 8 PM here.

Its money though! I've basically worked full time this week. I will next week to because of Spring Break but the daycare will still be open. I'm SOOOO gonna love my paycheck though .

I work at a school that takes kids from 6 weeks old to 12th grade.
