quote:
Mat 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. Mat 7:22 On that day many will say to Me, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?' Mat 7:23 Then I will announce to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!' caur: Just speaking for myself, I don't know Benny Hinn's heart and my argument is not over him, it is that I believe healing is for today, laying hands on the sick is for today, and that people can be healed and receive miracles today. I don't believe that it was just in the days of Jesus (while he was on earth) and in the days of the apostles. Christ's redemption made salvation possible as well as physical healing. That's why Jesus often said things like "you are made whole." "Whole" means complete restoration. Scripture says "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law." One of the curses that came from the fall of man was sickness and disease. The benefit of salvation wasn't canceled out, so why would healing be cancelled out after the days of Jesus + the apostles? Christ's redemption paid for it and the work was finished on the cross. Scripture says "by his stripes we are healed", and that does include physical healing, as all the physical healings in the bible testify to.
