UPDATE:
The doctors are concerned about the swelling in Dave's head.... I can honestly tease him about having a big head!! :D
They are keeping him for a few more days... they may have to put a shunt in to help his body absorb the fluids.
I, however, must go back home. 
I hate leaving him... but I know he is in good hands...
People from his church have started discussing who can pick Dave up when he's ready to come home....
We are traveling today... a part of me will be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight...
I will be at work again tomorrow...

Thanks for the update. Whilst it's sad to leave Dave behind, it is the best place for him. Not much fun for you though. I'm just glad that he's getting such good treatment. Won't be long and he'll be home with you and the girls.

I'm at work.... and there's much to catch up on!
Good news... I got my official marriage certificate in the mail.... so now I can go and change my name....
It's crazy here at the university... nobody really knows what my last name is... 
(because: I'm in the computer system as my maiden last name, half my paperwork was in my previous last name... and now I'm married.)
I gotta get back to work!

..... Hey guys!
I'm on my lunch break... it is freezin' in this building, btw!! My coffee goes cold FAST!!!!
I just got some Dave news. He just got back from another CAT scan... (here kitty kitty kitty!  )
He will know more tonight when the doctor makes his rounds...
The pain is the same as yesterday.... the pills make his tummy sick... but the morphine shot seems to work...
Just as we were hanging up.... he says, "You hang in there, kiddo!"
Me??? I need to hang in there?? lol!! It's cool that he can encourage even when he's down... he's gr8!
I'll be glad when he's finally feeling better!!! He owes me a date at the seafood restaurant!! 
I was gonna scroll back and give each of you individual hugs... but I really don't have that much time.... I'm so sorry....
Just know that I thank God for all of you.... and.... the changing avatars make my heart smile!

It was hard getting up this morning!!! 
I had to laugh at the radio DJ.... when he talks about the weather... he'll say something like, "There's a 29% chance of rainshowers today... make sure you keep an eye on that cloud... it may get ya!"

Today there is a 52% chance of rain.... guess I'll be looking up a little more.... Love you Jesus!
My sweetie will most likely be getting a shunt today... it is a 40 minute procedure... and it will help him to feel much better...
He is ready to come home!! I don't blame him... there's nothin' better than sleepin' in your own bed!!

I wrote four devotionals last week... long-hand.... I'm hoping to find some time to type them up on my laptop... I was thankful the LORD gave them to me... I haven't sent any out in a while... and several of my inmates are asking for them...
I'm glad I can still be connected with prison ministry even if I'm out of the loop here in Texas...

You guys are so sweet...
Dave is doing.... ??? Well... he's still alive!!
He went for a bunch of tests today... they are trying to figure out why his body is in so much pain.... apparently.... removing his head is not an option!!  lol!
Seriously, though...
a lot of the pain he's experiencing is in his entire body... his muscles...
Now I'm thinking he just needs to come home.... I think being in the hospital too long is just too hard on him.....
The doctors aren't really concerned about the swelling in his head... so it must be looking better....
It's time for me to go home.... and do laundry!!!
