Goodness we need a dog lovers thread.......... Though I don't know if I would be free to post there or not.........Gilbert doesn't realize he is a dog .....not sure he is strong enough to handle the news yet.

Why don't you upload Gilbert's picture as your avatar?

I only get on crosswalk from work not from home computer. Maybe one of these days I will get on from home or remember to bring my cord to hot sync my palm. I have some pics on my palm.

Yes, we certainly do! However I'm pretty sure it would just get moved, and then we'd forget to go look for it, and it would fade into the oblivion of page 2 & beyond of some other folder....

And I seriously doubt that many of our dogs, from what I've heard everyone say about them, truly realize they're dogs!

(By the way PamelaSue, evidently great minds not only think alike, but at the same time! Very similar posts to DancingThruLife within 2 seconds of each other!)

Yeah, don't go telling Rascal she's not a dog, she would be worried that she couldn't be in charge anymore.

While I was getting ready, she made me smile again. She has this ritual of following me around the house, wherever I go. The whole time I was in the shower, she sat right on the mat, waiting for me, like she was the guard or something. Every time I would peek out, the look on her face was "I'm here, and I love you, don't take too long, I want to cuddle". It definitely made me smile.

Actually, she doesn't. I always expect her to, but she is not much of a licker. (The people who bred her didn't like licking, and I guess they broke her of that in her first 7 weeks of life) She will kiss me on the face sometimes. She loves to be right in my face (for some reason, schnauzers like smelling people's breath, like its an interrogation or something).

The incident? My mind reels at the possibilities of what that could be.

Could I post there even though my dog has moved to the rainbow bridge... (I know theologically heretical)?

She still is very much so apart of my memories. After losing her, I had to come to grips with how much I loved her. I didn't know I was capable. Iyiyi I hope it is not worse with kids. Ack!

Someday I'll have another doggie.

I walk in and what do I see?...........GILBERT in my bath tub with big bubbles all over his face..........he looked so proud and happy.......not only had he ruined my bath but it took me forever to clean up the water mess on the floor.......Never again will he be allowed in the bathroom.........NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

((((adoration)))) I can't even imagine losing Rascal. I am sure that will be one of the saddest days of my life. I have had her almost literally her entire life, and she is just like my little kid. I hate being away from her for a weekend, I can't imagine not having her at all.

Gilbert with big bubbles makes me smile! Rascal doesn't like baths, so I don't have to worry about that one. She tolerates them when she has to, and doesn't fight, but you can tell she'd rather be someplace else.

You can avoid that by using more cold water. I hate it when I hot sink my palm.
