Sounds good to me!!! If you go to Hung Fung late enough, you can see them using their "central vacumming" system......I freaked out when I saw one of the ladies hooking the hose up to a hole in the wall and just start vacumming. That was about 10 years ago. Anyhow, I'm drifting....just thought I'd share that little tidbit.

Well count me in, there, padner. I was born in MD, but I was conceived in Texas. ;) And since life begins at conception, that makes me a native Texan! Yeeee Haaaww!

Just moved to Texarkana in June from Maryland. I don't miss Maryland as I'm a southern boy. My wife is a Army officer, so we move every 2 to 3 years. Texarkana seems okay, but I been out of the south for so long that I just can't seem to get use to the heat. Spent 3 1/2 years in Germany before we went to Maryland. Not much extreme heat there.

I'm honored to post in a thread about Texas. I've never even been to Texas but I love it big bunches. Why? Because of its people and its Christians in particular. The wonderful Bush family comes from Texas. They like Springer dogs and I love Springer dogs (I have two girls just over one year old.) Texans stand up for what is right and I love 'em for that. Texans should know that others from other states stand in awe of the faith and good sense demonstrated by Texans - and that is meant to be a well deserved compliment. I love this nation, but there is no other state that I respect like I do Texas. Period. : )

Here I am jumping into the thread again without knowing what's going on. I just want to say how proud I am to be here, how the citizens of this state jumped in to assist their neighbors from New Orleans, especially the thousands of folks who made up the volunteer force at the Astrodome. Did somebody already say that?

I got a visit at the church today from two very nice FEMA guys....wanted to know if we had any evacuees at our church (we don't) - our church is teeny tiny. But it was cool talking with them. I must say, I have been very impressed with the responses from our city too.

Howdy yall! I was born in Austin and have been here all my life. And that is quite a while. About this "Keep Austin Wierd" stuff, I don't get it. Its the same normal stuff that I have lived with all my life. Nothing wierd about it.

imo, its two things -- one, an ad campaign for a mexican food place...chuy's? two, austin is very artsy and musical-y, and liberal. keep it that way. -michelle-

When I was in Austin I was stunned by how similar it seemed to Berkeley. The long hairs anyway....
